I worked at Sitel full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You get to work from home
    Excellent Benefits
    Paid Training
    Opportunities for Promotion
You get to pick a schedule you like from a list provided

    Cons

I think training should include practice calls instead of allowing new employees to take live calls! This is one reason I didn't last long! I felt lost, unprepared and became very upset with myself because I couldn't help my customers get their problems solved quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know this probably won't make a difference, but I think it would be a great idea to offer a program that allows new agents to have access to simulation practice before taking live calls. This is will ease stress and calm the nerves!

    Pros

Sitel has a wonderful paid for performance program, With this program all employees have a chance to increase their paycheck by $2.00 per hour.

    Cons

Sometimes they implement mandatory overtime which is great for payday but you get burned out when working the time. Also no food is allowed at your desk.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New headsets would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I think you rock!

    Pros

Some of pros of working here are great training they provide everything you need to be successful and the managers for the most part are real people.

    Cons

Some cons about working here are you must move up otherwise staying on the phones you are salary capped, and to begin with pay is well for the job. Its also very mundane doing the same things day and day out. There also many changes that come about, which take month's to get those out to agents there is also little to no time to review or research these changes and you still get counted off for misinformation, which affects stack ranking and being able to move up.

I have been working at Sitel part-time

    Pros

I haven't started work yet, but I wanted to say the hiring process was quick and smooth. Everything is done through e-mail, and so far i have not had to pay any fees. Also, the shifts are all in one block of time, no split shifts.

    Cons

So far I have not found any negatives to speak of.

    Pros

Employers are very easy to work for. Everyone is very easy going, understanding, and the open door policy is actively used. The coaching and training are excellent. They do everything possible to ensure that you know how to do your job and how to do it to the best of your ability.

    Cons

The only challenges that I came across was the pay. They definitely need to increase the past rates, and the incentives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay for the employees, and make sure incentives are applied.

    Pros

The best things about working at sitel is the ability to grow in the company. You are able to have contests between teams and make the day fun.

    Cons

Some of the cons for working at sitel are the fact that you can become overwhelmed with all the customers, you can have a co-work come in and put you in a bad mood.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To advance to management you would have to show you are able to do your job on a daily basis and apply for the position. Then you go through the training.
