    It was fun

    Hostess (Former Employee)
    Arlington, TX

ProsI worked in retail so I was usually in ac.
You can take other people shifts easily or get other people to take your shifts easily (there is a sheet where people can put up there shift for others to fill in).
Many hour, including swing shifts, easy to make 3 to 400 dollars a week.
many young people: you will make lots of friends.
some or the customers are really funny.
    Food is really good.
    Free admission and buddy passes.
    Advancement.

ConsSome of the supervisors were really annoying and mean.
In retail, you didn't get to choose which store you wanted to work in or with who so mos of the times you were just by yourself.
Sometimes they cut your shifts short.
    Heat.
    Items are really expensive.
Employee services are really strict (no nail polish, black or white shoes, etc.)

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat the employees better.

    A good first job

    Ride Operator (Former Employee)
    San Antonio, TX

ProsThe jobs are straighter forward, and they observe most holidays.

ConsThe weather is your worst enemy, sometimes it will cancel work; or it may rain. They won't let you wear coats or rain gear from home.

    Life Guard

    Lifeguard (Former Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsSo much fun, Great summer job with a lot of people looking to get money to fund summer activities. Very flexible hours and the ability to ask for days off within two weeks.

ConsYoung and inexperienced management. Sure it sucks to work on fourth of July as a kid, but you are working a summer job as a lifeguard... so what do you expect.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe micromanaging at all levels cuts back on employee success.
