Like many places, a very challenging place to work, unlike many- very unprofessional.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Manhattan Beach, CA

ProsExcellent product, with a founder who is a visionary leader.
Incredible marketing achievements in support of the product.
Very fluid organization with an ability to quickly react to the market or business needs.
Strong Merchant leader in the Retail division.
You will be exposed to, and learn from an environment of playing hardball corporate politics.

ConsThe retail division has dysfunctional, short tempered, leaders with poor listening skills. The group is peppered with people that nurture instances of nepotism, politics, and sexism- unfortunate but true. Four out of five days of the week you will hear people yelling loudly in meetings, and over time it wares down the propensity of the group to have open communication and create an environment of teamwork. Lot's of politics, not enough focusing on the root of problems.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey know their issues, but fail to make lasting efforts to implement the needed changes.

One of the worst cultures I've ever worked for.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Baltimore, MD

ProsGreat employees, good discount, so-so health benefits, but other than that nothing.

ConsThe company doesn't care about it's great employees. No 401K match, terrible time off policy, outdated systems, and an angry corporate office.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet over yourself. Stop treating your people like they are worthless. Reward the good for once. Get your operations together and stop blaming the stores for your inability to follow through. And the ones at the top- go back to a leadership 101 class. You need it, trust me.

It's not a dream your in hell!

    Anonymous (Former Employee)

    ProsNone-Fullerton area is really nice.

ConsSkx Retail Division is stuck in the 80s...that's when Bob Greenberg was bankrupting his first company L.A gear remember? The same result will happen here over the next decade as the company refuses to invest in any technology not even email! H.R is not effective and are discussed terribly throughout org. They are so disconnected focused on recruiting good looking 'branded' people who have zero business acumen. Stores are not supported, managers forced to work while clocked out for lunch. 50 boxes of transfer product showing up out of nowhere daily...Retail Division needs an overhaul. Regional Manager won a camaro from the company she proudly flaunts while employees struggle to feed their families. Start the firing with the Director of Stores then work your way down!

Advice to Senior ManagementPursue licensing agreements with partners who can drive traffic..I'm thinking US tour De France team sponsorship.

    Store Manager

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsI worked for this company for 2 years and I honestly cannot think of a single positive thing I could say about this company.

Conshorrible hours, minimal pay, unrealistic expectations, awful support from district manager and even less from corporate, if your not a well endowed woman you will not move up. I used to sit outside the store before I had to open the doors and cry because I hated that job.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive up and start over.

The worst company to work for!!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    Prosgood discount on shoes

ConsRetail division is poorly run and there is constant turn over because of the abuse. Miscommunication happens everyday because the retail president demands things to happen instantly but then constantly changes his mind and then blames it on you for not listening. Your quality of life will be destroyed because of all the stress and all the yelling that is directed at everyone - you will spend everyday trying to stay out of the line of fire but it is useless because you will get screamed at and told you are worthless. This place is run by fear and not by respect and they have no dedication to retain their good employees and they have lost a lot of quality people. Run as far as you can from this place and look elsewhere, it's not worth it!!

Crazy place to work, starting at the top.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Manhattan Beach, CA

ProsParties and sales meetings and conventions are always very well funded.

ConsCompany HQ management's #1 priority, 24/7, is something along the lines of "how can I avoid having Robert Greenberg scream at me again?" So the trickle down is that there is no long-term strategy, just day-to-day strategy based on whatever Robert Greenberg is feeling that day.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have way, way too much politics in your company.
