    Pros

Wonderful people, great management, fun customer experience, hefty discounts, shoes that anyone can enjoy making it easier to sell.

    Cons

Not being able to go over 25 hours. There is some head butting over sales numbers, but that's likely to happen In any retail job.

I have been working at Skechers U.S.A.

    Pros

When the work comes in the overtime is great. There are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, just don't let the chance pass you by. An honest days work.

    Cons

The noise of the Conveyor belt. The radios constantly playing the same music over and over again. there is a lot of little things that could get on your nerves...like the loudspeaker and someone thinking that yelling over it would make it clearer. The leads that don't lead by example...they yell at someone for doing wrong then turn around and do it themselves. If your an agency employee Skechers takes forever to switch you over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to show appreciation/acknowledgment to all your workers when they do a good job, DIRECTLY. Many times the leadership passes the thanks down but it never makes it to the workers. Speak directly with your people. It takes a lot of work and effective communicating to make Skechers #1.

    I worked at Skechers U.S.A.

    Pros

When they say "Nothing compares to family" they mean it. The Greenbergs run the company like it's a big family. They are very mature people and run their ship on feelings. Your success or failure here depends entirely on you.

    Cons

Lots of "reports" which is their greatest upside too - they like sales people who really connect, understand and manage their businesses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The way they manage salesman samples and selling availability is very wasteful and inefficient. In fact the 300+ samples they sent me made my road sales job nearly unmanageable. I'd like to go back to work for them for a while, to help them set up that Google Picasa photo catalog system that I was using for the rest of the sales team.
