Skechers Is a fun and exciting retail sales experience, out of many other brands Skechers is definitely the one to pick.

Second Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Grapevine, TX

ProsWonderful people, great management, fun customer experience, hefty discounts, shoes that anyone can enjoy making it easier to sell.

ConsNot being able to go over 25 hours. There is some head butting over sales numbers, but that's likely to happen In any retail job.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great Company!!!

    Store Manager (Current Employee)

ProsGreat environment, team oriented, development plans, company growth.

ConsVery old systems, very disorganized methods for shipment deliveries, will receive shipments everyday at all hours. Not localized hours for volumes specifics. No emails, no communications to other stores. LP lack of way to track loses for inventory purposes.

    Living at work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Ontario, CA

ProsWhen the work comes in the overtime is great. There are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, just don't let the chance pass you by. An honest days work.

ConsThe noise of the Conveyor belt. The radios constantly playing the same music over and over again. there is a lot of little things that could get on your nerves...like the loudspeaker and someone thinking that yelling over it would make it clearer. The leads that don't lead by example...they yell at someone for doing wrong then turn around and do it themselves. If your an agency employee Skechers takes forever to switch you over.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the time to show appreciation/acknowledgment to all your workers when they do a good job, DIRECTLY. Many times the leadership passes the thanks down but it never makes it to the workers. Speak directly with your people. It takes a lot of work and effective communicating to make Skechers #1.

If they like you, they will find a way to keep you.

Territory Manager (Former Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsWhen they say "Nothing compares to family" they mean it. The Greenbergs run the company like it's a big family. They are very mature people and run their ship on feelings. Your success or failure here depends entirely on you.

ConsLots of "reports" which is their greatest upside too - they like sales people who really connect, understand and manage their businesses.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe way they manage salesman samples and selling availability is very wasteful and inefficient. In fact the 300+ samples they sent me made my road sales job nearly unmanageable. I'd like to go back to work for them for a while, to help them set up that Google Picasa photo catalog system that I was using for the rest of the sales team.

Becoming the best place to work.

First Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Calgary, AB (Canada)

ProsGreat core values, with a great focus on customer experience. Expanding very quickly in Canada this year. Clear and effective resources. Management is highly involve.

Cons2nd Assistant manager is often has the same responsibility as the 1st. Limited hours for non full time employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake advantage of all the resources and transferring knowledge is key. Simplify.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
