    Pros

It's a great foot in the door if you are pursuing a career in the airline industry. They have many opportunities for growth in the company.

    Cons

The pay is not equal to the amount of work being done. I've met people who work hard, represent the company well and have been there for over 3 years, but has only had a 0.20 raise.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved on the ramp and get to know your employees.

    Pros

Great travel benefits. Full timers tell me the health the health benefits are great as well

    Cons

High turnover creates a stressful work environment. If Skywest values their front line employees, they have a weird of showing it. Pay cuts and mandatory work on days off

    Advice to Management

Work on the frontline for a couple weeks

    Pros

The flight benefits are great if you have time to use them and flights aren't booked heavily. The access to other airlines is good to .

    Cons

Moral was pretty low. I found my self trapped by the idea of flight benefits. I didn't want to loose them but I wasn't able to use them either. Had a lot of opportunities once I left. Opportunity Cost can be high.

    Advice to Management

Get involved. Give support. Accommodate schedules.

    Pros

Great work environment for airline industry newcomers. Fast pace, lots of learning every day, and because it's a smaller airline there is a sense of community.

    Cons

The pay is very low considering what other airlines pay. As a result the turn over rate is high, it's a good first step but i would stay any longer then two years.

    Advice to Management

A good aircraft mechanic is worth his weight in gold, find a way to make them want to stay, PAY THEM!!
