    Pros

I usually felt I could trust the information shared down from my manager. He was great at both the business strategy and mentoring and developing his employees.

    Cons

Turnover at the senior management level made priorities and opportunities shift. There was noticeable tension and competition (unhealthy) between the functional pyramids.

    Advice to Management

Be more consistent with strategy and model transparency and collaboration. Keep retail store employees well informed and feeling like they are heard.

    Pros

It is a great product you are selling so you can feel good about convincing people to spend thousands of dollars on their mattress. The company headquarters are a good resource for the retail managers to get help. If you are in a busy store the potential to make good money is very high.

    Cons

You are expected to work just about every weekend and Holiday. As a manager the most troubling fact is that if you do not make your assigned budget for the month and don't make your manager bonus you only receive 60% of your salary. This is the reason this job is stressful and non sustainable in a slow store.

Store manager pay could be better. Constant increasing sales goals are not always realistic.

    Advice to Management

Pay your Managers a little better and be careful to structure reasonable sales goals each month.

    Pros

The products are amazing. You make good money on the surface unless you are management and then the hours aren't worth the pay or your sanity.

    Cons

Worst company to work for ever. After 4 years managing the only reason I stayed was the great pay. However when you account for your hours spent there it's not as good as it seems. They always want more! And if the sales offered are poor then its still your fault. The trainers are amazing but the district managers told us to lie and deceive customers for sales when the trainers weren't around. The current CEO is out to prove her name at anyone's cost. They have fired the good DM's and replaced them with those that are slave drivers and humiliate employees. So sad because their advertising is customer centered but they treat their employees terrible. I left on my own. I wasn't fired. I had enough. So if you enjoy being humiliated, stressed, and never want to see your family or have any type of life please apply. And if you are great at lying you will do and be praised even more.

    Advice to Management

Fire the CEO. She is a joke and encouraged lying to customers but will never admit it. Your products are superior. Please value your employees. They sacrifice so much and are offered so little. They are under the impression because they pay well they own you.

    Pros

Very rewarding, excellent payment structure and good direct management. Every day was new, and the company is always innovating. We would work regularly with local doctors and chiropractic offices to promote sales. My store also had a wonderful team atmosphere.

    Cons

There was A LOT of cold calls. We are also required to work on ALL major holidays. The company has black out dates for every day you'd like to spend with your family. When my grandfather got sick, I was simply told "tough luck" by my regional manager. Luckily my store manager stood up for me and allowed me to take the time off. My store manager was repremanded for doing so. I believe the biggest issue with the company comes from their Regional and Area managers. They appear unorganized and pushy. In my opinion, they seam to have been used car salesman who somehow became area managers.

    Advice to Management

Management is well aware of how I felt. The store managers for the most part are excellent. I had the opportunity to meet most in my region. However, the regional and area managers needs to work on organization. I would also recommend better human resource training for them.
