    I worked at Sodexo

    Pros

You get two uniforms for free

    Cons

The pay is horrible, especially when the managers decide that there is no overtime allowed...yet they expect you to do more work in a shorter amount of time
Raises are microscopic, like 5 cents extra, performance based- biased on favoritism, and even you work your tail off managers still expect more
It is all about favoritism, it doesnt matter how hard you work. The managers hang out all day in their offices and only come out when there is a customer complaint, even if it has nothing to do with your performance
Managers and dieticians eat free even though they make ALL THE MONEY, while the underpaid frontline employees have to pay! Unfair and cruel- enough said
    It is degrading

I have been working at Sodexo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benifits, payed time off, opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Growth stunted by 5% / grade increase maximum in salary when being promoted. Limited resources as far as person to person explanitions about anything, most of your information comes from hunting it down online. Which is very time consuming. Employees being treated as numbers instead of people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your priorities straight. Take care of your people and they will take care of you. The main reason we have so many problems right now is simple, you will not find good people at a bargain. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! Setting a limit on how much you can grow within the company is forcing many of the young professionals into competetors arms. Hopefully you will realize this sooner than later.

I have been working at Sodexo

    Pros

While the benefits package is comparable, the pay is below industry standards especially for the work it entails.

    Cons

Excessive overload of unneccesary programs and mandates which decrease true performance outcomes, while increasing turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find effective ways to streamline processes and operational protocol which will increase talent retention

I worked at Sodexo (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you like to keep busy and have many responsibilities its a great place, the work day always goes by fast and there's always something you can do to contribute.

    Cons

Men work in the kitchen, women at the cash registers and there's nothing you can do about it. They think we don't notice but employees talk and word gets out about how people have been denied certain roles based on gender. Absolutely no room for advancement in the company regardless of education. Everyone in management has an ego and picks favorites. As a business student, I was horrified by the way things were being run in my unit. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to work for this company long term. My unit was able to skirt their way out of offering any overtime for 60 hours/week of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to pay way more attention to your general managers and operational level managers because they seem to be getting away with whatever they want during work hours.
