I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most generous commission plan that I have seen in the industry (and no cap), along with quarterly bonus and terrific benefits. The managed services and professional services practices are winning awards, and the company is diversifying outside of its historically strong Microsoft practice. Great local office spaces to work in, and management that is not over-bearing.

    Cons

Base salaries are low compared to industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Strive to enable the local business drivers to lead the business, keeping a focus on customer service and providing timely access to national shared resources.

I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Uncapped commission! Amazing training programs- they fly us to Toronto for training & It’s a lot of fun. Support on all ends to satisfy our customers The managers and sales coaches are smart, motivating, and supportive. They were all in sales previously so are able to relate to their teams. Fun environment Monthly Volunteering opportunities Internal Career paths Did I mention uncapped commission?

    Cons

If you are not the type of person who loves the challenges & eligibility to reap rewards that sales will bring, you would be happier in a different role. If you are looking for a higher base and less accountability, Softchoice is not for you. I love working here, learning every day, building my network, and taking full advantage of uncapped commission!

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! Our environment on the floor has never been better.

I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, amazing culture with lots of upward mobility. Amazing career development with lots of great trips and incentives along the way.

    Cons

Not a whole lot to offer here. Management sometimes asks sellers to go to market with products/ services for which the sales channels haven't been fully developed yet.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee retention to keep the business in growth mode, turnover hurts everyone. Otherwise keep up the great work!

I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You are constantly challenged to improve and grow. I've had a great opportunity to travel across North America, in my various roles. I've worked with some of the best people in the industry. I've had the opportunity to hire and develop people. Watching their personal growth in their career has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

    Cons

The culture is very sales focused, and can be intense at times. Also, because the company has grown so rapidly over the years, the amount of change required has been signficant. Dealing with so much change can, at times, be exhausting. For some people, the pace can be too much. I love it.

    Advice to Management

The company can be impatient at times for results, or waiting for new initiatives to produce results. The company could provide a longer ramp up time for new initiatives.

    Pros

Young Culture Compensation for Sales Empowerment Flexibility & Benefits

    Cons

3 years in and to say its perfect would not be true, but there is no such thing as perfect and Softchoice has got as close to it as I can ask for.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent culture. Microsoft and Cisco strategy is far ahead of the competition. Truly focused on Clients needs and Satisfaction.

    Cons

Strategy is adjusted rapidly to meet changing needs in the Market. This can be challenging for those unwilling to adapt, but great for those looking to be relevant to their clients demands.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
