    ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO

    Cons

    Unprofessional, shorted hours, then shorted again refused to pay for worked completed and approved. Don't return phone calls, and then promise to follow up and don't. Distrust anyone at Sogeti first and then verify twice is how you treat working for Sogeti.

    Advice to Management

    Really poor management, very unprofessional. Fire current management and get someone in who knows what they are doing.

    Pros

    There are no pros to working for this company

    Cons

    Company has no loyalty to employees. There is no formalized structure and no communication with new employees about how the show is run. I never even did find out who I reported to. They farm you out, use you then throw you away when they don't have an immediate project to put you on. The client will ALWAYS come before the employee....regardless of the situation. And no, the client is NOT always right!

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees like humans, not slave machines. Communicate structure to employees so they know who to go to when they need something.

    Pros

    Only plus is the 401k plan and PTO. However, since they pay below industry average, if you are just starting your career, good luck putting anything into the 401K

    Cons

    Below industry average salary
    No career growth opportunities
    Staff Augmentation
    No Management communication
    All the company cares about is billing to clients whether you are actually working or not
    Inconsistent among the units. Each unit is different, so some get great opportunities, clients, and pay, but some get the short end. Bonus program changes every year so no one as any idea what is happening.
    Uses a ton of offshore
    Does not invest in quality work, only cares about profit.

    Organic culture. Variety of technologies to work on.Good benefits

    Pros

    I really can't think of any!

    Cons

    The management is extremely unprofessional. They don't have any future planning for the employees and they can't foresee the prospect of upcoming projects as well. Very disorganized, the HR department is especially horrible! My experience was with Sogeti Indianapolis location, not sure about other locations though.

    Pros

    401K but if you stick with company for 3 years. Believe me its long time for this kind of company

    Cons

    Not good projects. Plain body shop. Send people to client side even if they are not qualified. Account executives are worse, do nothing about getting new projects. Long hours and client decides work life balance.

    Pros

    My co-workers in the Baltimore office were very welcoming and nice.

    Cons

    Everything else. Their operation model is backwards. They stack up the bench with resources and THEN look for engagements. I was on the bench along with ten others for about three months and then was laid off stating "they didnt have any opportunities". This was quite different from what I was told at the interview. For three months I was simply paid $65,000 to watch training videos. I dont see how they can afford to practice like this.

    No comment. I didnt really get to know management here.

    Pros

    They will tell you whay you want to hear to your face and make you feel like you are valued. Decent benefits

    Cons

    Client satisfaction appears to be the last thing management values. They are so focused on the next sale they do not reward you unless you are part of sales. Consultant = Billing Rate - Cost. It seems like their model is to encourage high turn over (even though they will state that they want stability) to keep margins higher. When a client grows tired of the turn over and inexperience of new developers Sogeti moves on to the next client. I have been at the same client for over a year and honestly do not know who my Account Exec is. Work/Life Balance is determined by your client but if you do not work overtime you will not see much of a bonus. Raises and performance appraisals are done anonymously.

    Advice to Management

    Do not act surprised when Sogeti is classified as a cheap labor body shop.

    Pros

    The only pro for working with this company is that it is a job and they leave you alone.

    Cons

    Not honest, they will flat out lie to you to keep you around.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest and pay people what they're worth.

    Pros

    In the unit I worked in the management team was great. They had the contacts in the area to make the sales. When the new CIO started adjusting the sales compensation and how he wanted to go after sales the unit went down hill.

    Cons

    No one cared about how work was done...no checking on the staff work...also the benfits were outstanding but the company started to chip away he year taking some away..the bonus program was great while under the control of the units manager but the that was taken away and put under corprate....very poor now

    Advice to Management

    Get a new CIO for Sogeti USA and area managers...let the unit managers run the units...

    I think the Sogeti CEO needs to talk with the staff at Sogeti USA
