Former Employee – worked at Solstice Sunglass Boutiques full-time for more than a year
Pros – Product- You sell Dior, Gucci and Tom Ford Amazing brands.
Clients- I had the most amazing guest that have followed me to a different Company.
Training
Cons – If you aren't A model look good luck getting hired. The west/ south central district is a mess.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop letting upper level management be so closed minded. They now throw around the statement " They aren't the look of solstice". Its sad very sad. They are missing out on great people who sell well because they aren't the look. Take care of you people especially people who take care of your store because you can't keep a manager in position.Get west/ south central district into shape. Whether Its the upper level management or employees you will never get ahead with closed minded management and employees who are the look sit in the backroom or give Bad customer service.

Pros – Solstice offers a great discount on sunglasses. The starting compensation is much higher than several other retail stores. The company runs great contests for their employees.
Cons – The smaller boutiques run with a store manager and key holders which leaves very little room for any career development.

Former Employee – worked at Solstice Sunglass Boutiques
Pros – Company is great at training and showing how the organization of a small company should work. The best Benefits that you will ever receive at a low price. The Corporate Level staff is knowledgable on how to do their jobs.
Cons – If you are in the Corporate Level, your chance of growth is zero. There are only 15 to 20 people that make up the Solstice Corporate Level because they have a "Shared Service" with their Parent Company Safilo USA. There is no way to hop from Solstice to Safilo, which means there is no way to grow or advance.
IF YOU ARE A STORE MANAGER, FORGET TRYING TO BECOME A DISTRICT MANAGER. In the history of Solstice, never has a SM been promoted to a DM and stayed there. They only hire DM's from outside. Hence why they are losing Top selling Managers left and right. So get in and make your numbers and get out in order to grow.
Advice to Senior Management – Start to hire within the company to promote past the level of Store Manager. Otherwise, you will not be able to keep your key people. Don't assume that someone at a certain level is ok doing the same thing day after day without extra responsibilities. They will find somewhere else to move to when they are bored out of their mind.

Pros – Easy Interview Process
Nice Break Length
Great Discounts
Great Customer-Employee Interaction
Cons – Long Training Process
Long Application
No Advancement in the company

Advice to Senior Management – I feel as if there should be more raises for the people who work hard and I feel like there should be more business locations in the states because there are people who work really hard to make senior management happy and there are no where for those people to be promoted.

Current Employee – been working at Solstice Sunglass Boutiques
Pros – Easy job, decent discount, get to practice selling, some room to take leadership initiatives
Cons – Extremely boring when the store is slow, hard to compete with other stores with low selection, compensation not great for the industry, hard to get upper level management to listen to opinions of those firsthand experiencing issues
Advice to Senior Management – The people who run the stores are those directly impacted by the ongoings of everydaybbusiness and their input deserves more consideration
