Pros – State of the art technologies
Many learning opportunities

Bonus (although never consistant)

Cons – There have been far too many cut backs without consideration to it's effect on quality/safety.
Make a safety mistake and lose your job (saw that more than once).
Corporate goals exist but are hollow (nobody pays real attention to them).

Advice to Senior Management – Company was bought by Eastman Chemical. Hopefully, they will see how incredibly understaffed Solutia is, and allow them to hire more personnel. Not many happy people there....

Cons – Lack commitment to fiber business, more commodity oriented then value brands

Advice to Senior Management – Understand the markets served and be pro active

- High employee turnover

Pros – Solutia offers very competitive salaries, good opportunities for career growth, and average benefits. Good culture and values. They often promote from within.

Cons – Solutia does not offer a very good work life balance. Many departments are understaffed. They are often lagging with their use of technology.

Pros – I have seen alot of change since I have been with the company. I know most of it is going to benefit us if people will just give it time. I think the company really cares for it's employees. I have never worked for a company that gives it's employees so many benefits. The bonuses we recently got were so great. The many programs that are being offered to the employees on site are fantastic. I love working for a company that is growing and looking to the future.

Cons – I wish employees could get more training on their jobs. I feel you don't have enough training and you are put on the job to soon.

Advice to Senior Management – Get out on the floor and talk to people about their lives and really just get to know them as people.
