    It is very fast pace, the employees are loud and rude, you don't get paid enough to deal with it all.

    Pros

    There aren't many significant benefits aside from receiving a paycheck. If you have the tolerance to stay for an entire year you might be eligible for health insurance. If you are a carhop at a high volume store you can make a decent living off tips. Otherwise, none to speak of.

    No employee discount
    Laughable wages for crew leaders and assistant managers
    Unrealistic expectations all around: corporate has unrealistic expectations of supervisors and store managers, supervisors have unrealistic expectations of store managers and assistant managers, etc.
    Leadership is dreadfully lacking, I've worked under numerous salaried managers and supervisors and they are either so focused on improving their station or exhausted by their expectations that their leadership suffers as a result.
    Sonic takes full advantage of the sub-minimum 'tip wage', using it as a tool to manipulate carhops

    Leadership starts at the top. It's about hiring hiring people with principles, that the bottom line can't come at the expense of integrity.

    Pros

    None that I could think of - there are better opportunities out there, look for them.

    Cons

    Carhops complaining about their tips, if they would report them correctly possibly they might pay a decent wage; assistant manager trying to stab people in the back. Excessively long hours when people have quit with only a moments notice. No loyalty from upper ownership, will side with an employee with out investigating the true facts, even with documentation.

    Pros

    The general manager is willing to work around things such as children, doctors appointments, school,etc.

    Cons

    The general manager is more of your friend than an actual manager. She is constantly late and then expects you to be on time as well as constantly going outside to smoke in her car along with othe employees, leaving early and never ordering enough supplies. The owner and corporate never seemto try and get things fixed (slush machines, ice machines, knives, fryers, etc.) and expect you to be super fast at everything, like have an order done in 2:30 minutes when certain menu items take at least 4:30 minutes to cook. On mystery shops, if you are even 30 seconds over the time, you get suspended. And the general manger will make sure that her shift is stacked with plenty of workers, but the other shifts are given far fewer workers causing an extreme slowdown of the entire process. Also, when you are scheduled, you get your schedule at the very last minute and are never scheduled a time to get off of work. There is also no follow through with the discipline of employees that have multiple write-ups.

    Actually be a manager not a friend. Stop skipping out on your shifts and be there on time, etc. to set the example of what you want from your employees.

    the people you sometimes meet that make your hard efforts worth it.

    Cons

    aside from rude customers the management is TERRIBLE and lack kindness towards employees. money was some how always an issue with servers, managers, and on occasion drive thru. something really sketchy about this place.

    take better care of your crew. I myself have a new born and received little to no hours and when I did work i was given very degrading work. examples : cleaning the bottom of all trash cans, cleaning grease traps that would ruin appearance etc.
