I have been working at Sovereign Bancorp full-time for more than a year

Pros – Awesome company, very sensitive to employee and customer needs. Working on improving every aspect of the company to ensure a great transition into Santander late 2013. Most of the bad apples are gone and staffing has become more polished, knowledgeable and professional in order to adapt to the changing environment.

Cons – working on some system issues, correcting past image issues. some of the former bank employees are still there making it harder for everyone else. soon to be gone hopefully.

Advice to Senior Management – continue valuing your internal talent and recognizing employees. need to work on changing staffing models to accomodate sales and service needs.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – people are awesome its a great work enviorement

Cons – the low pay is a small con but if you do your work you will get a good payout

Advice to Senior Management – you need to micro manage a bit more

Pros – Good work atmosphere.
A referral minimum is required, however, it is a more relaxed environment in which active salesmanship is not needed.

Cons – It is not as widely recognized in the city of philadelphia like citizens bank or Pnc bank. Undergoing a merger.

Advice to Senior Management – A stronger recruitment of college educated trainees and new hires, and recognition and promotion of these individuals already encompassed in the company.

Pros – team oriented, employee concious, lots of growth potential if you work hard

Cons – all about sales, but what bank isn't

Advice to Senior Management – too micromanaged, too many reports and comference calls
