    I worked at Spherion

    Pros

Autonomy in work, able to conduct my own interviews, and freedom to schedule and call candidates in my own time frame. Got along great with co-workers, flexible work schedule

    Cons

Lacked clear communication on which jobs received placements, new job orders and job details seemed disorganized making it harder to do my job, I wished there were more tools to source candidates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try utilizing an automated or computerized system to make it easy for staffing coordinators to keep track of what jobs need to be filled and provide details and specific job descriptions for each job and/or client

I worked at Spherion full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I was a contract employee for a large corporation so as long as I showed up and did what I was supposed to, I did not hear from Spherion.

    Cons

Tough working indirectly for a corporation. Poor health plan, poor amount of paid time off. Even though my paycheck came from Spherion, I did not feel like I was working for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

I like working for this company because they put on jobs that taught you on the job, and give you new skills for future jobs.

    Cons

I didn't have any bad thought while working for the company, but I had problems with the person whom I was hired, she was not a good person for that job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think when a person work with others she/he should be there to help when problem come a long, and be a good listener.

I worked at Spherion full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Lots of projects to work on while you're at the reception desk, so you are never bored. Allowed to dress up for Halloween.

    Cons

No flexibility in hours. If you need to see a doctor, you are pretty much stuck having to wait until the weekend (assuming you can even find a doctor who will see you on the weekend). They read all of your email, so be careful what you write.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your employees a bit more flexibility when it comes to doctor appointments and family emergencies.
