Pros – Career opportunity unmatched. Spherion has offices all over the country, and do a great job promoting from within. Great starting place for recruiters and account managers in the recruiting business.

Cons – Vast operation, there are so many different groups and organizations within Spherion, if you are not careful, you can get lost in the shuffle. You must keep your eyes and ears open for internal opportunities for growth.

Advice to Senior Management – Streamline the management infrastructure, and streamline the services. No company is excellent in every area, but they can be great in a few areas.

Pros – I am a recent college graduate that was hired this summer into an entry level position. Since joining the company I have had the opportunity gain first-hand experience and grow within the company. All of the employees and supervisors have been really nice and helpful. I even had the chance to meet Roy, the CEO and he was very friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in the work I was doing for the company. I would wholeheartedly recommend working for this company!

Cons – Spherion has a very traditional work environment that may not be suited to all workers. It is also hard to find parking.

Advice to Senior Management – Overall, Spherion is a great company to work for and they offer many opportunities to advance within the company. I would recommend salary increases based on our annual reviews.

Pros – They will help find you a job just have to give them a chance.

Cons – Well my pay was messed up on my first assignment it took like 2 months to added my bonus pay. You have to stay and take all of those test for them also.

Pros – I was working right away.

Cons – I was looking for a higher hourly wage.

Pros – Notification of a permanent position. Staff kept checking on me to make sure I was ok.

Cons – Main office located in Raleigh, NC, Worked in Fayetteville, NC, 75 miles away. Contact was by email and phone. Met staff 1 time. Have not heard from company since contract expired in 2010.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work. When an employee's contract expires, continue to try and place them elsewhere.
