Prosthere are no pros working with spirit, they take take take take and never give. The moment you reach max pay, they find a reason to fire you.

Consyou will spend your life getting yelled at by customers and degraded by supervisors. Its a horrible company that does not care about customers or employees

Advice to Senior ManagementGet a gun and shoot yourselves in the head.

    Smug arrogant middle managers

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Miramar, FL

ProsIt's a job for a large airline that is located in south florida

ConsArrogant and smug management from the top to the middle. They constantly move people around and bully them into making moves they don't want and then try to get them to quit.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop haing Jet Blue envy. You nickle and dime your passengers and you refuse to admit it. Your middle managers are overweight and loud obnoxious bastards.

    A former employee..

Customer Service Supervisor (Former Employee) Fort Lauderdale, FL

ProsAn Airline trying to compete with some of the major airlines.

ConsThe airline operates very un-professionally....The culture proves that there is no loyalty to their employees. I was employed for over 1 year as a supervisor with 7 other supervisors, and after 1 year I was the last supervisor employed. I even had other employees from other airlines asking me why the turnover rate was so high, and I had no answer.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop Laying off quality employees... You can not start a career with a company that does not value their employees...

    Over worked and Under paid

Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pros- flight benefits (if you have the time, or permission to use them) and you fly as standby
    - good temporary job if you are a student... as long as you dont make a career with this company.

Cons- extremely high turnover rate... most employees dont make it past 1 year. they are either dismissed or they get tired of the abuse and resign.

    - basic $9.50/ hr pay for customer service agents in fort lauderdale airport. overtime is not an option... unless they REALLY REALLY REALLY need you... (so forget about spending the holidays with your family at home... Spirit will have you working on holidays at 9.50/ hr).

    - company policies negatively affect both employees and customers... and then you wonder why customer service is horrible in this airline... the employee is not given the option to help the customer.

    - habitual flight delays... its part of the spirit airlines daily routine.

    - managers are not supportive of their agents, someway or another, the agent will always be at fault for a managers mistake.

-huge lack of communication between management and staff. it makes work harder.

    - it sucks to lie to customers as to why they will not be getting compensation because of their delayed flights... when in reality customers are entitled to them depending on what type of delay it is... they just want to save money.

Advice to Senior Management- check your competitors customer service stats... they may be paying their employees the same hourly pay... but their work environment is phenomenal and consequently rubs off to their loyal costumers. this will also help you reduce your high turn over rates... change has to begin within.
