    I have been working at Spirit Airlines full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule and GREAT group of people to work with and for. We are growing very fast and with that comes "growing pains" but we work together, work hard, and we will be bigger and better for it.

    Cons

    Growing means learning and change. Staffing needs "beefed" up to allow management and current staff to focus and not be pulled away on multiple projects / "fires".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work. We have made huge improvements over the last couple years and WE WILL GET THERE!!!

    Pros

    Fun easygoing job and great co workers. Growing company so now is the time to get your foot in the door. There's room for people that want work and also for people that don't want to work as much

    Cons

    Long hours and sometimes unexpected changes in schedule. No employee stock options available at this time.

    Need to become more available to employees. Management should work on communication with employees

    Pros

    The people, flexible schedule, the benefits are AMAZING. Bases from coast to coast. A business model that works for customers, employees, and investors.

    Cons

    You are away from home often, sometimes working different shifts. Passengers often are new to flying or fly infrequently which has its challenges.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work. Work on consistency of policy enforcement throughout the system for both customers and employees.

    Pros

    Lot of growth opportunities,
    Fast paced challenging work environment,
    Upper management supports with constructive ideas and trusts in giving additional responsibilities if you are in it to win it !,
    Good Salary and annual increase is fair based on individual performance,
    Great Travel and Medical Benefits,
    A proven business model resulting in lot of future slated projects which will help in job security.

    Cons

    Increase in growth has resulted in more employees and Spirit Customer Center is running out of space. Does not have a better work office with latest equipments and a clean office.

    Should start giving employee stock options - This will make significant change in employee productivity and will automatically bring smiles,
    Increase company reputation with our end customers - We can do this with our proven business model!

    I worked at Spirit Airlines part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Fun people, really sociable but then again I guess that depends on the department. As a customer service agent (ticket agent) you are required to talk to hundreds of unfamiliar faces daily. Therefore mostly everyone I worked with was friendly and fun to be around. Be yourself, have fun, and Speak up.

    Cons

    Bad company policy on baggage fees leads to angry customers. Customer service Agents are the "face" of Spirit Airlines. Meaning you take a lot of verbal abuse for policies you might not necessarily agree with yourself.

    Improve Customer relations or Employee benefits, don't leave both sides unhappy.
