Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for less than a year
Pros – Happiest workforce I've seen.
Pay is exceptional compared to competitors.
Finally someone gets that you have to hire quality people to provide quality service.
Cons – I'm sure there is something but I have not been here long enough to find any.
Advice to Senior Management – None yet. For self interest, I'd like for them to not get bought by DISH.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – • Superior work/life balance support
• Good benefits
• Forward thinking upper management
• empowerment of the individual employee
Cons – • typical large corporate issues with too many useless meetings or unnecessary people in said meetings
• too many IT roadblocks for certain groups
Advice to Senior Management – Need to take a more granular look at roadblocks for various groups and introduce a bit more flexibility in application of internal standards.

Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Smart people and professional managers, lots of opportunity in Network to "own" your role and contribute to success of the company. Some teams work from home 2 to 3 times a week-lots of flexibility for top contributors.
Cons – Not hard to find yourself working all the time while others around you are happy to let you carry the load.

Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Promote from within. Free unlimited phone service and cheap plans for family/friends. Excellent benefits. Top 3 ranked "green" company. Care about employees and community. Great vacation time.
Cons – The only con right now is the uncertainty of what will happen in the telecommunications world as far as consolidation. Who will we merge with and what will that mean for me? This is true of other industries too, but we always seem to have the rumors.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to empower you employees, it makes a difference. Also, don't sell out for the highest bidder if it means the new company will destroy what we have built.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel
Pros – Great work balance. Good compensation.
Cons – But some people keep moving from job to job and no one has any idea what they do. And they are always protected in layoffs. No room for advancement unless you are a cronie!
Advice to Senior Management – Learn who does the work!
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel part-time for less than a year
Pros – Great environment. Everyone wants to see you succeed. Promotions from within. Great commission on top of an already good salary. Great managers who work with your schedule.
Cons – Still waiting to be bumped up to full-time from part-time. Not many complaints other than that. All of my other complaints are individual based and not a reflection of Sprint as a company.
Advice to Senior Management – Allot more hours to make sure part-time employees get the opportunity to get bumped up with full-time in a timely manner.
