Competitive pay, great benefits, & sweet deals!

    Cons

It's a make it or break it industry! You must be a quick learner, able to effectively multitask, know current plans & promos as well as current & past plans!

    Pros

Worked with great people at Sprint. Loved being on the cutting edge of technology, and the ability to really understand customer issues and how to help solve them through technology.

    Cons

At Sprint, you always felt that you were just 1-2 years out from being caught up with the competitors and on the verge of doing great things. But you never quite caught up that year or two. We were always behind and had to work twice as hard to overcome our disadvantages in network, financial strength, product selection or leadership. Limited career growth in business leadership segments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick two or three key categories you can compete and be an industry leader and focus on those.

    Pros

Management, Culture of the company and market. Support and reality of tasks. Market awareness and straight answers for objectives.

    Cons

I think Sprint should be more aggressive and go after ATT and Verizon. Great company to work for but not as aggressive lately.

Working on campus gives you an opportunity to constantly meet new people. Great department with great management. Lots of room to advance. Benefits are great too. 3 great cafeterias to choose from.

    Cons

Constant network issues nationwide makes it difficult to sell products to customers in those areas. Ever changing comp structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave the comp structure the way it is. It's working out just fine.

    Pros

Company allows employees the experience to construct your own career path and take courses that allow professional and personal growth.

    Cons

Promotions and career advancement are limited many years due to freezes to save money. Merit increases are limited many years as well to save money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would consider rewarding employees for their success via more ability for advancement and stop removing jobs that create advancement for a particular job function.

Current Employee - Customer Service Supervisor (Call Ceneter) in Rancho Cordova, CA

    Pros

great people in management. competitive compensation.

    Cons

no/poor training certification allowed non-qualified agents to graduate and be released to the call center floor. attendance policies were to relaxed promoting tardiness and absenteeism that hurt overall productivity and staffing on a hourly/daily basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

re-structure attendance policies to be stricter placing more accountability/responibility on the agents to be at work and in seats handling calls/customers. introduce a training certification process which requires trainees to pass a specified checklist by examining processes taught in training - this will reduce the need to retrain and inspect these individuals once on the call center floor with live supervisors.

    Pros

Great benefits, comparable pay, and you feel like you are contributing to the company success. There is opportunity for advancement if you are willing to stay focused.

    Cons

Some of the individual contributor promotion opportunities are best obtained in the corporate head quarters in KS.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to maximize remote work opportunities for high value contributors in order to retain talent even outside of KS.
