    An outstanding 17 year experience.

Director Corp Center (Current Employee) Overland Park, KS

ProsAbility to work in different areas. Like working for multiple companies without having to change companies.

ConsWhen they did away with the pension, they started feeling like any other company. After the merger with Nextel, Sprint started losing what made it such a great place to work (it's swagger). Through all my years there we focused on the network, then the from 2004/5 to 2007 the shift went to focusing on minutes for PCS. The sales teams no longer had to know as much about the network as they did Apps, and cellular devices. Think about it, Sprint enterprise teams were focusing on selling other companies products and applications in order to sell more minutes.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink about it, Sprint enterprise teams were focusing on selling other companies products and applications in order to sell more minutes.

    Retail Store Manager (Former Employee)

ProsSeeing all the tech that comes through is very nice. I also worked with a lot of people I now consider friends.

ConsIt's very hard to sell a struggling network. In some areas, the sprint network is so congested it's unusable.

Advice to Senior ManagementFix the network to make everyone's life easier.

Advancement Opportunity, great team atmosphere, working with the latest mobile devices. Very invested in this brand!

Retail Store Manager (Former Employee) Indianapolis, IN

Prosdevelop lots of skills presenting to a team, develops a great work ethic, and if you driven sales associate you have the opportunity to make lots of money in commissions. Creates lots of advancement and leadership qualities if you stick with it. Have made lots of great colleges and friends for life through the Sprint retail channel which is a reward all its own. I was with the company through the rough times and I see a bright future for them with the SoftBank acquisition and the launch of Sprint Spark. GO SPRINT!

ConsLots of plates to spin at one time, company systems and networks could be a challenge at time. Made more money yearly as a sales representative, then in management promotion did not always mean more money depending on store manager position A, B, or C. Don't feel that a commission change ever benefited the masses only the corporate bottom line with was never seen on the front lines. Work/life ratio for Store Manager was often hard to deal balance. Network Vision was a challenge when dealing with customers and frustrated employees with no quota break.

Great place to work with good people and good benefits.

Test Engineer (Former Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsI loved working at Sprint because I was allowed to work from home a few days a week. Their Paid Time Off was very good. The management understood family needs and allowed us to leave early on the day prior to a holiday.

ConsOften worked long "on call" periods where I went without much sleep for a week at a time. Occasionally had supervisors that knew little about what my job responsibilities or my work load.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe open and honest with you employees. Let them have the opportunity to vent when stressed.
