I have been working at Sprouts Farmers Market part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

(part of store opening crew) 15% discount on groceries, flexible hours, department manager works with my schedule, close coworker relationships, room for advancements

    Cons

low pay, short breaks and lunch, favoritism

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management isn't bad. I like the management at my store. I guess my only advice would he to calm down as far as the audits and shops. If the store is obviously doing well, and the employees are getting good review on shops, and the store is passing their audits then stop pressuring to constantly be 'better'. It's kind of hard to improve when you've basically reached your ceiling.

I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Compensation is fair. My manager was the best to work for in the meat department. She was willing to work with your schedule, listened to your needs, and always put her employees before her. That is if you were a loyal and hard worker.

    Cons

The store managers were there to tell you what you did wrong but never jumped in to help if you needed it. All they do is micromanage and look down at you. The best part was when corporate would come in because the store managers would be the biggest kiss-ups and really nervous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

STORE MANAGERS: YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT LIKE YOU ARE ALWAYS BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR TITLE. HELP OUT WHEN DEPARTMENTS ARE IN NEED OF IT.

    Pros

Great place to work! They're like a whole foods but on a smaller scale. Co-workers are very friendly and willing to help you out. Great discount for being an employee, and also a great learning experience. I made some good friends while working there.

    Cons

Rude customers coming in sometimes and not too many hours. Felt like there was favoritism with managers(gave certain employees special treatment).

I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

A healthy environment for all employees- you are sure to learn all about healthy living and all the new trends. All employees get a 15% discount on top of all the amazing weekly sales. "Uniform" is a nice, cotton t-shirt.

    Cons

This company is very hard to move up in, starting pay is really low, the managers are micro-managers, if you are a cashier expect to never leave your register, and learn the PLU codes because you will need to know them almost immediately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat your cashiers like kindergarteners, let the cashiers move from the front of the store more often. Cross-training should be implemented more throughout the store.

I have been working at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

15% discount, a fair amount of training, constant evaluation, daily meetings, diverse and interesting employees, learning about healthy (and trendy) food

    Cons

managers with difficult personalities, low-ish pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should keep up the high standards, but express more constructive feedback (don't always tear down). This advice is especially directed to the managers who have been with the company for a while because it seemed that they had some sort of ego- or maybe bitterness- and had little sympathy for those who were new.
