I have been working at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and atmosphere as opposed to big chains, there are having growing pains too, but mgmt seems to be heading in the right direction.

    Cons

Need training programs, just throwing people out there to see if they get it or not will not get them the qualified candidates they are looking for. I hear it's coming soon

    Advice to Management

Take in to account who you have hired, with the right sprouts training, greatness. Don't look at the other guys be the guy that is looked at. The talent will come😇.

    Pros

They are really good and moving people up the ladder. Willing to teach any position, all you really need are people skills.

    Cons

No real pay increases, must change positions. No real benefits.

    Advice to Management

Teach employees how to interact with customers and keep them loyal. Should be more of a neighborhood market where people are greeted by name when they come in.

    Pros

I enjoy working with the other employees. It is a friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

Not enough hours available once the grand opening is over.

    Advice to Management

I think new employees should be told in advance that their hours could be drastically cut. People have quit other jobs thinking they would have a lot more hours only to be cut to very few if any hours.

I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Weekly pay. Gain experience in retail and customer service which there will always be job openings. For the low low price of your soul, dignity and self respect you can claw and brown nose your way up the career ladder and become a lifer, oops, I meant a manager.

    Cons

Zero overtime permitted. Cost of insurance too high. Company lost touch with employees. Company grew, went public and true values changed. Cheap labor/expendable workers now preferred over knowledgeable fairly paid quality associates.

    Advice to Management

Advice to management is to conduct yourselves like the assistant store manager in Oro Valley, AZ named Mary. That woman knows how to treat her fellow employees, and understands the proper way to coach and discipline. Sprouts should be using her to be a model for upper management. Also, to those managers who think they are above any other employee because they wear a blue manager shirt, you are pathetic. Being a manager at a grocery store doesn't make you better than any of those in the department you run or anyone else in your store. I have met too many of you losers. The only reason you are the manager is because myself and others have bigger aspirations in life. We want to accomplish things that require the use of our brains. I'm not knocking the decision to make a career out of retail management. I'm talking to the specific select few who actually believe you are above others because of a silly title. You are destined to die while doing inventory in your dairy cooler, or deli counter, etc.

I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great atmosphere, good people and a huge variety of knowledge regarding healthy eating. Each day does bring about new challenges, it's a great place to help customers and work on team leadership.

    Cons

Hard work, long hours (overnights included) and low pay. The management at times have goals that are unrealistic and offer poor guidance on how to complete these tasks.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from the employees more; understanding their needs/perspectives will help the company grow faster and be more prosperous.
