I have been working at Starbucks part-time

    Pros

Great smells, good food, cooperative environment, great place to eat, discounted Starbucks

    Cons

Long shifts, annoying rich and entitled customers, having to remember many different kinds of drinks, standing for so long

    Advice to Management

Figure out a better system for pumping flavors into drinks because it is really hard sometimes and I needed help

    Pros

Very willing to understand a work/life balances. Coaches you to become a stronger leader/person. Amazing benefits for a person or family. Always room to grow.

    Cons

At times there is alot being asked and its hard to focus on 1 or 2 things that you know you could be very successful on due to all the different "asks". When this happens you put in way more hours then what you would need to. Some people in the company know how to put on a "good" face for leaders and if things don't go there way they will make you "pay for it"

    Advice to Management

Trust your people most of them want to do the right thing and are also amazing leaders if you allow them to flex into it.

    Pros

They can help pay for college, they do give good benefits, they encourage a motivating, positive atmosphere.

    Cons

I was with the company for a few years and have worked in a couple different stores , my favorite experience were when I had great leaders who were motivated therefore motivating but some were horrible and it seemed like some managers would take their authority as a "as long as my paperwork checks out then I can treat my team how ever I want" so I think maybe better management training with managerial communication practice.
