    Pros

Grasping all the job responsibilities in one week is doable by taking notes and asking questions. Every day the job is pretty much the same, so you would naturally get faster and faster at it. Lots of interesting web-based and classroom classes for free, so if there is a subject that you need to brush up on - they're perfect! The view of Boston and the harbor is breathtaking. Co-workers are extremely nice and friendly. I am looking forward to spending as many years as I can at this company.

    Cons

When running into a few software issues, the IT help desk could take a really long time to solve your issue.

My favorite part about working at State Street is the people I work with. I love our team dynamic and the company's value of being better together. Working at State Street has also provided great networking opportunities and a good work/life balance.

    Cons

Nothing immediately comes to mind. I find myself working on new projects, meeting new people, and learning something new every day.

    Pros

Great benefits, good amount of training, and a decent amount of time for onboarding (no one expects miracles out of you for the first ~6 months).

    Cons

None that I can think of yet. The pay isn't great but it's enough to live comfortably.

    Advice to Management

    None. Good job!

    Pros

Great people and as a global company, great opportunities for travel and advancement - you can move with in the company either to different business areas or different locations. Roles can be transactional at times, and you have a lot of pressure for deadlines, but that's because it's a very detail-oriented and client-driven environment. There's really good flex-work policies where you can work from home, or other locations, or different hours, and I like that there are so many employee networks and volunteering opportunities to get involved.

    Cons

The salaries are definitely a challenge - it's tough to come in at the entry-level salary on offer, but there are good opportunities to progress, and overtime is paid at the Associate levels. It can be hard to navigate a company this size, but the "collaborate" internal social media platform has been really helpful in breaking down navigational hurdles and getting people involved.

    Advice to Management

I'd suggest reviewing salaries and looking at increases across the entry level salaries.

    Pros

The subject the matter expertise is excellent. Great place to learn. Flexible work arrangements. Good work life balance. Great locations for potential transfer.

    Cons

Salary scale for market is mid to low. The benchmark survey must include some disparate cost of living locations. There has also been some offshore get over past few years, but that seems to be over.

    Advice to Management

Overall, the only thing that could be better are salary and mobility. Seems like there should be more formal mobility both ways between locations. Salary is needs to be high market. If you have the best people, then pay them as such.

    Pros

Great people, young culture, fast-paced work environment. Opportunity to grow skills. Hard workers that innovate are rewarded

    Cons

Can have some rough hours. Some bad teams of non-sociable folks or bad managers.

    Advice to Management

Reward the people that are game changers. Too often the red tape of the large organization make it difficult to reward the top performers before they look elsewhere
