    Pros

I've worked here for four years. They really work with your schedule and request off days. Also, there great with cross training un case you want to di something different in the store. GREAT money if you have customer service skills.

    Cons

Cons, it gets really busy and if you have the wrong manager on duty your shift will go downhill. They dont pay the cooks enough money for what they have to deal with.

    Advice to Management

There so hard up on managers in our district they keep the wrong ones still working. They dont pay there supervisors enough money,

    Pros

No one cared what you did as long as you served your tables what they wanted without us having them complain and get something free or quit on the spot. Eat whatever you want go out to the dumpster to smoke whatever you want, whenever you want no one cared. IF you do happen to get fired its pretty easy to get rehired cause they're ussually desperate for someone who knows what theyre doing. Co workers were just about all pretty cool, we all worked together to get all the tables served when we had huge rushes (often we were right next to a theme park) half price on the food you actually pay for. Prime people watching op. Just about all classes of people end up at sns.

    Cons

We were right down the road from a six flags, and corporate never allowed the managers to schedule more people than a normal business days need and everyone was constantly held at least and hour past your scheduled time literally every time. Everything there was really cheap and broke a lot. A lot of times during rushes while we're understaffed (always understaffed) the food would take forever and people would walk out often or not pay after getting it and servers lose the tip.

    Advice to Management

Just do the best you can. Learn every station so you can jump in when when your employees need you. Two of my managers did and they're literally the reason a group of half of the employees didn't flat out quit.

    Pros

The steak n shake i work at is in the south point casino. Meaning that i work for steak n shake but also get the benefits for being an employee of the south point (i.e. Paid vacation days, discounts, edr, etc.).

    Cons

Starting, the fountain workers (people who make the milkshakes) get paid $11.55. Not bad at all for a burger joint. But compared to all of the other positions like cooks and servers we make the least. The fountain gets just as busy as the grill if not more because theres always at least 5 or 6 cooks on the line where as fountain will be lucky to have 4 people on the line. Most of the time its just 3 workers making milkshakes. The servers get a little less than us hourly, but with all the tips they end up making more than the cooks which make like $14 or 15 something an hour. Not to mention the hostesses which make $15 an hour for just sitting people and standing there.

    Advice to Management

Theres needs to be waaay more consideration for the shake crew. We deserve better pay rates and a bigger work area. I swear im getting clausterphobia from working so close to my coworkers everyday.

    Pros

    Discount of food. Entertaining customers.

    Cons

    Management. Other employees. Restaurant cleanliness

    Advice to Management

Actually TRY to be organized for once. Stop sending employees home early on a consistent basis and worry more about the customers than the money.

    Pros

Big sections Awesome co-workers Flexible schedule Customers are sweet Hours are good

    Cons

Management sucks being yelled at for their mistakes how one day doing something is OK and the next day getting yelled at for it. Management likes to talk about everybody and their personal lives. Shows favoritism. Very rude and lazy.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your running the restaurant then running your mouths. Appreciate your employees more.
