    Pros

    The benefits are great through this company. From the stock compensation, insurance, 401K match, and pay.

    Cons

    Where to begin... this particular division is structurally unsound. We continue to hire metallurgist to manage when they lack the managerial skills necessary to help us excel as a firm. There is no feedback for employees to inform them how to better their over-all performance. This would allow them to make themselves promotable and beneficial to the processes of the company. The "Good Ol' Boy System", has led this division to having several individuals in positions they're not qualified for or deserving. Inadequate performance often leads to a promotion or lateral move. Superiors take it upon themselves to make changes in the processes without discussing with those interacting with equipment or operating procedures on a day to day basis. COMMUNICATION- it doesn't exist.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I would recommend becoming more structured and abiding by it, any situation with every employee. The promotional process takes to long. Once a job has been given, set a time for movement of that employee and stick to it. Be consistent, 6-8 months is to long. Provide feedback.

    Good ins.package.Money is good.Great at updating old equipment!

    Cons

    S.D. is a new comer, working in some cases with VERY old equipment. Don't tell the old guys how to.

    Stop swinging people every 8 days if safty is such a big deal! Research the damage this dose!
