I have been working at Stefanini TechTeam full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

It was a job, and at first it was really good
I worked day to day with great people.
My team leaders, middle management and co workers were fine people
    I learned more every year
    I got to help people
I worked there for sixteen years, and am now happily retired.

    Cons

Every year senior management (the ones we never saw,) expected more and gave less.
A lot of the great people I worked with were let go so the company could offshore more work.
There was no job security. We were constantly reminded of that. We often got emails saying that the consequences for relatively small issues could be termination.
We were all made to re-interview for our own jobs. It had us all terrified. I will never forget that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There was a time when this company said that their employees were their most important asset.
As years progressed, that became less and less true, but they kept saying it
    Now they seldom even pretend.
Make your employees feel valued, both by your treatment of them and your compensation and they will respond positively beyond your imagination.
There is a study that divides management into Theory X and Theory Y schools of thought. (google it, if you care to. There is an excellent Wikipedia article on it.)
Try more theory Y. It's good for everybody

    Pros

Good entry level positions for those starting out in IT.
    Benefits are good.
Some lower managers are actually pretty understanding, it is upper management that needs the boot.

    Cons

Low pay compared to other companies.
    Upper Management sets unrealistic goals.
Most of the work is being outsourced to Manila.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop outsourcing everything to other countries if you want to keep your customers.
    Listen to your employees.
Offer better pay, or those that don't leave because of losing their job will flee for higher ground.

    Pros

The people here are amazing to work with. They have an open door policy so it's easy to talk to management about things. Most projects are lenient about schedules, they cater very well to school schedules.

    Cons

The pay is on the low end of the pay scale.

    Pros

Excellent communication skills by Management. There are a few exceptional hard working team members.

    Cons

Low salary and no advancement opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice as the client controls the opportunities and we are contractors. Management does not have much control of the cons

    Pros

Some folks in management are really nice but they get stuck by corporate policies that doesn't target employee satisfaction.

    Cons

Doesn't pay well enough, hard to find another project in case the project you are working is finished

I have been working at Stefanini TechTeam full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Decent pay; not micromanaged; attempted to create enjoyable work experience, good resources available for continued development

    Cons

Depending on location, little to no ability for advancement; very little, if any, interaction with management; work schedule can be intense at times, but again dependent on location

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None, given the nature of the work, very little management can do outside of restructuring the contracts they have with clients

I have been working at Stefanini TechTeam

    Pros

I like the hands off approach considering that my Stefanini manager is in another state and I never see him/her. The healthcare seems a little steep but I appreciate the offered 401k, dental, and vision. Overall I feel this is a good place to gain experience in corperate IT environment right out of school.

    Cons

I have two managers, one Stefanini and one from my client. My Stefanini manager lives and works in another state and I have never met him/her in over a year of working for the same client. This manager has given me 2 performance reviews, one two months after I was hired and another a year later. Both reviews were copied and pasted out of the "good review" boilerplate with my name pasted in where appropriate. He/she called at 4:30 on a Friday to give me my last review, proceeded to speed through it so I could check a box saying he had performed his duty. I felt shoehorned in at the end of the week to make a quota.

PTO can be a problem. Hours can only be taken 4 or 8 hours at a time which left me with 3 hours at the end of the year that I will never see compensation for. I have to fill out 2 time cards every week one for client, one for Stefanini and it can be a pain when their holidays don't line up. The client has Good Friday off and not MLK Jr. Day, and vice versa for Stefanini.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My Stefanini manager is way overworked, or just doesn't care about me. Find out which it is and make your employees feel like they are a part of Stefanini and not a part of the client they are currently working for.

    I worked at Stefanini TechTeam

    Pros

-Good place to start with little experience
-Possible routes of advancement for qualified personnel
    -Diverse business culture, global footprint
    -Good benefits
    -Casual atmosphere for many positions

    Cons

-Many employees become 'stuck' in entry level positions
-Employee satisfaction is low across the board
-Lack of personal skills make some employees and managers very difficult to work with
-Annual compensation reviews for salaried employees suspended for last two years, 401k matching suspended
-Environment of fear-based motivation; frequent layoffs and firings, very little loyalty to even long-term employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

N/A - the company was purchased by a Brazilian IT firm in 2010, apparently the entire business has changed since.
