    Pros

    Many awesome benefits (shoe allowance, paid holidays for PT employees, etc), supervisory staff easy to talk to

    Cons

    Sometimes the company can be a bit.. Scattered. But since you are a contract employee, you simply have to grow up and figure things out for yourself.

    Pros

    Working in the LQ division affords the opportunity to network with other accomplished professionals in the healthcare field. I have grown my contacts 100 fold. I can see a pathway upwards, and I get to use my brain every day and set my own schedule. The pay is good and I enjoy my job.

    Inter-departmental communication needs work, but they are implementing things like Salesforce to improve information sharing

    Very nice company that is growing exponentially. There ought to be plenty of room to grow and new job opportunities

    Pros

    Great work, great pay and benefits, managers have open door policy. Opportunity for advancement if desired, stock and 401k options, and tuition reimbursement. You become part of a "family" when you join our team. You are not just another number unless you chose to be. Stericycle strives to improve customer relationships and keep employees up to date with safety training. Equipment is new and they provide uniforms and PPE to employees.

    Cons

    The hours are sometimes long, if the plant falls behind then it puts me behind schedule. Plant vs. Transportation has communication issues. Communication between plants in different states is lacking. The pay structure and bonuses are stagnant. Some managers are kept in position, even when it is apparent they have no skill causing the other team members to pick up their slack.

    Pros

    Quality company that cares about their employees and customers. Good place to work, great benefits, average pay for position. Outstanding at promoting from within.

    Cons

    In Indianapolis, initial job is through a temp company. Temp employees get hired on, told it is temp to perm, but that rarely works out. Many are hired on for a big event, and let go within a few weeks. Of course, I have worked hard, did what I was supposed to, and I got hired on after 6 months as a permanent employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Fix IT problems in the RMS call center. There are so many customers who are pharmacies, doctor offices etc who have changed addresses or ownership. You make an outbound call due to failed mail, correct the information and square things away for that event. But another event with another client has nearly the same customer list, and the initial notifications are sent out again with bad information, only to go through the same verification process. Why does this matter? 1: important notifications about recalls are delayed, possibly harming patients or consumers. 2. wasted postage sending thousands of notifications per year to bad addresses. 3. loads of wasted man hours calling customers who have already been called a month ago on another event. 4. these customers get annoyed about so many calls to verify their business name and correct address. Possible Solution: consolidate some of the information in your database as a kind of 'master list', then when you get a new event, bounce the client's information (which may be years old) against the master list of customers before assigning CID!! That is just a suggestion, I am totally satisfied with my position in the call center, and happy working for Stericycle!

    Great way to get hands on experience. Small growing company which lets you be creative and pursue your goals.

    Working with a small company you do not get the same 401k benefits as you would with a larger company.

    Opportunity to enter at the ground floor and work your way up with even just a GED. Superb benefits. Superb PTO program. There are too many to list. Started at ground floor for 23k per year after ten years I am making 40k+ with just a GED.

    Cons

    Companies vision is misguided at times. Pay is decent yet yearly raises barely top 3% per year. Company at times does not seem to value their employees input. Have had a manager on more than one occassion ask for ideas then tell me they are no good and then pass them off as their own and take the credit for them.

    Listen to your employees! They have first hand experience of how your customers view you! The sooner you understand this the better off we will be

    Larger sized company with a small company feel
    Excellent job benefits, including stock options for eligible employees
    Great co-workers
    Exciting growth and opportunities

    Cons

    Since the company grew so fast, many of the business processes struggle to keep up. Growth through acquisition can lead to a lot of technical challenges. Some of the way that the company service offerings are designed can be very confusing and complicated.
