Pros – Great company and willing to help you succeed.
Cons – No cons I love this company
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Fast-paced, fun, great merchandise, company values, great staff
Cons – Not too much room for promotions when in school, also hard to balance both.
Pros – good training on product knowledge
Cons – sales associates can only work part time
very limited growth within the company
Advice to Senior Management – the company could benefit to have better work-life balance.
Pros – People are great, sample sales, you can wear whatever you want to work, always busy, has a parking lot for employees, decent discount
Cons – You can't leave until it's 6:00 on the dot even if your department is done for the day, no summer hours either. Not a lot of vacation days when you first start and everyone is afraid to stand up to sr management and let employees leave early before holidays. Long hours during shoe shows and no recognition for hard work and dedication No paid maternity leave for an almost all female company
Advice to Senior Management – Ask the people who work for you what changes they want to see and act on them. All other companies have summer hours or shortened days. Don't let employees be afraid to take a full lunch break or day off reward employees for a good job and walk around the building more to say hello and know who is working for you. Have a BBQ or company gathering to bring employees together
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – Good benefits, good people, good discount, breakfast on Fridays.
Cons – No work-life balance, long work hours, no summer Fridays, no early dismissal before holidays, no flex time, less that generous time off policy, not a lot of paid holidays. Everyone works long work days (6pm) and then before a holiday while every other company lets their employees have half days senior management makes everyone work a full day. If they do an early dismissal, it's 4:00pm. They make you work long hours and don't give anything in return. All people do before a holiday or on Friday's in the summer is complain that they are working instead of doing any work.
Advice to Senior Management – Wake up senior management...you want people to work give them something in return. Get with the times and stop being so old fashioned. Make yourself more competitive. You pride yourself on being on top of the latest trends but when it comes to benefits you lag behind. Start treating your employees like humans instead of robots. Maybe you don't want to spend time with your family but some of us do.
Pros – Flexible hours, small company so you learn a lot
Cons – Small company so there is not that much room for groth
Pros – Insofar as working here, the company really takes care of their employees. Having been working here the past year, there has been a lot of growth from within the company. As for promotions, if one's numbers show in black and white, there is no reason (aside from availability of position) for them not to be promoted within the company.
Amazing discounts help as well!
Cons – Hours can be straining at times, especially for students who work here to support themselves.
Advice to Senior Management – Have a suggestion forum for employees to place their input. As great as the company is, there is always room for improvement.
Pros – Flexible hours, company expanding so more job opportunites (country wide), awesome coworkers, fun atmorsphere
Cons – Even with new stores opening left and right, it's been hard to move up at the retail level. Many district changes, making it hard for your work to get noticed. Not much opporunity for pay increase.
Advice to Senior Management – Appreciate your retail management! Notice when things get done. They're the backbone of this company.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Gives alot room for creative insight. I work really close with corporate even as an assistant manager
Cons – They picked a pretty unorganized SM for our location
Advice to Senior Management – Monitor who your store managers are more closely. Its hard to do all of the work and the SM get credited for it
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – The perks for employees discount would be the discount which is 50% off and having access to merchandise that aren't held in any other store. Working on Bleecker Street gives to perks to the neighborhood discount with other retail stores.
Cons – The cons are there is much growth within the company. You work every Saturday which is required of the management team until taken off which falls under you time off. Great thing to take from working here is the push it gives you. You learn how to manage quickly as well as being more direct.
