    Pros

Branch is able to retain relative autonomy and the company is still small enough to stay flexible and move quickly. HR, Compliance, and the Tech Help Desk are genuinely friendly and helpful...top notch equity research

    Cons

Needs more structure for training - especially new FAs if to bring in more assets...but that will come with time and can have its own downsides...

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Pros

The management of the firm is looking to expand the reach of Stifel. This is an excellent place to begin and grow a career in finance.

    Cons

The firm lacks the resources of a larger firm, however, it is small enough that issues are resolved quickly.

    Pros

Culture is changing as the firm continues to grow via acquisitions, but still not your typical Wall St. firm. With multiple institutional offices throughout the US, firm offers good flexibility with repect to location for those who prefer to live outside the NY Metro area. Fir the most part management is respectful and loyal to employees. Offers a decent work / life balance if that's what you're looking for.

    Cons

Firm is well known for under paying at the VP / Associate level relative to peers, especially outside NYC. Top producers however are pretty much on par with larger banks, but this is a select few. Still carrying a little too much mid-management overhead from legacy acquisitions.

    Advice to Management

Institutional sales force is still compensated via commissions, one of the last remaining firms to do it this way. This is fine for a monoline equities shop, but firm's growth into other asset classes requires a broader scope of incentives to drive sales in new products (i.e. equity options). Until payouts for all products are set at parity the sales force will continued to focus on cash equities, which is a slower growth and lower margin business relative to listed options. Switching to a salary / bonus comp structure could also solve for this, where sales reps are incentivised to pitch a more comprehensive / hybrid set of services to inst'l buyside accounts, which have increased in sophistication.

    Pros

Good people except is St. Louis if filled with incompetent morons.

    Cons

St. Louis and the entire HR Department, compliance minus a select few, no stability and an ignorant power hungry ceo.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the housewives undereducated staff.
