I worked at Subway part-time for less than a year

    Pros

One of my most favorite things about working at Subway was finding out how they baked the bread. That was a mystery throughout my whole childhood. On a more serious note, training was quick, simple, and easy to pick up. There aren't many opportunities for personal advancement if you're in high school or just looking for a part-time position, but you definitely keep learning how to do different things.

    Cons

Subways are not usually located in an area that's great, as they're in the same ballpark as regular fast-food chains.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be clear about policies like how many hours in advance you need to call off and how many times you can miss before your employment is terminated!

I have been working at Subway full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There is so much room for advancement and the difference between subway and most other places, they WANT to promote you. They WANT you to go as far as you want, as long as you work hard.

    Cons

Some of the policies are a bit "interesting" . My training took a looooong time and I was kinda just on my own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your heart. Stand up for what you believe in. Reward your employees. Bring in birthday treats. Treat them like your family. Your employees are everything to you, so make them feel that way. Same with the customers!! Remember the regulars names and orders. Talk to them, don't just make their sub. Treat them like family because with out them, there would be no subway!!
