    Pros

I had a mostly good experience the entire time I worked at Subway because I liked who I worked with. I think that overall as a fast food restaurant, it doesn't get much less stressful than working at a Subway. Can take breaks whenever you get down time. Depending on the manager, employees may often be able to eat free.

    Cons

Lunch rush can be stressful, ~2 hours of straight sandwich making. If your coworkers slack, then it makes things much harder. Managers can be harsh when trying to meet "their numbers." cutting hours, etc. Part time only, no benefits except for maybe a free meal per shift.

    Advice to Management

Payment is so low as it is. Make sure to give each employee a FULL meal per shift, footlong and meal deal.

    Pros

Flexible hours, decent pay, casual work environment, and easy going store owners to work with. I worked for this company all through out college. They were always very understanding of personal and academic issues that come up and were willing to work with minimal availability.

    Cons

Getting called in on nearly a every other day basis to cover another employee's shift as decided by the owner. Not a lot of control over operations.

    Pros

It was a great part time job for a college student. They were flexible with my schedule during school and summer.

    Cons

There really weren't many downsides. I was a part time employee and I really enjoyed who I worked with. The people I worked with made the job for me and everyone was willing to trade shifts or help each other out.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers who are engaged and flexible with staff. A good rule of thumb is to hire managers who can listen to their employees -- a good trait in management no matter what industry.

    Pros

The manager was very good at giving you time off and got free food every shift. Great employees and work environment

    Cons

Manager would call you in on your days off and would just about force you to come in. Store was very under staffed

    Advice to Management

Hire more employees so people don't get burned out. Don't call people on their days off to cover shifts when they're already working 5 days a week

Flexible hours with consistent scheduling. Easy workload. Gain experience working with all kinds of people and dealing with all kinds of customers. Learn how to make yummy sandwiches!

    Cons

Unguided management with limited resources. Unfairness concerning wage increases amongst co-workers. Lack of consistent communication with managers during evening shifts.

    Pros

Super easy work, free food, relatively relaxed atmosphere, and fairly flexible scheduling/work hours. I had good coworkers, which made work more enjoyable than it probably would have been otherwise.

    Cons

Pretty low pay (standard for a fast food job I suppose), work could get a bit boring/repetitive. Also had some pretty rude customers once in a while, which is never fun to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps try starting workers off with a higher pay? My location had a huge turnover rate, which I imagine is not uncommon.

    Pros

it's a very satisfying job if you want to be able to talk with customers and make nice looking sandwiches.

    Cons

The owners of my store don't give employees a free lunch unless they've been working there for 8 months and customers can get really upset if you are out of bbread even if they come for the most popular bread 200 minutes till closing.

    Advice to Management

treat your employees fairly, give them the free 6 inch sandwich and discounts they deserve and keep a manager that is good hearted but firm like mine.
