    Pros

Work hard and rewarded, benefits are very good, good exposure to international business, good salary and bonus, cool industry

    Cons

Very disorganized company, systems are archaic for a software company, very cheap with everything, inherent inefficiencies in processes. No transparency. Negative work environment. Many many many hours for finance employees due to ridiculous deadlines with inefficient systems.

    Advice to Management

Invest in quality systems and processes to streamline the entire financial cycle. There are way too many inherent inefficiencies for a company this large. A lot of the processes are not scalable as well.

    Pros

Decent pay & benefits. Hard working people

    Cons

Unstable company. My division had 7 lay offs in 3 years.

    Advice to Management

Invest in employees. Don't over hire especially upper management when you you are getting rid of the workers.

    Pros

Challenging and diverse projects; lots of new development and not a heavy focus on maintenance. High degree of autonomy and no micromanagement.

    Cons

Upper management is short-sighted and has little regard for employee morale. Loyalty and dedication are neither valued nor rewarded.

    Advice to Management

Not everything can be off-shored. You need to understand that long-term employees have customer relationships and hard-won product and institutional knowledge that cannot be replaced.

    Pros

If you are lucky to have descent leadership at the top of your segment, there may be hope albeit with a short window until the ownership change happens - and it is happening. Long term career, nope. Runway - 12-24 months. It's been 10 years since the LBO and the PE owners will want the "event" to happen so they can cash in on this line item in the portfolio that has been a huge under performer and invest in other things.

    Cons

The once entrepreneurial spirit and leadership is completely gone and left are the very few who decide on a day by day basis to jump ship. The Segments do not work together, the administrative work as well as the procedures are disparate and gotten to the point of silly. Couple that with a lack of focus on the delivery, Project Management and Investment and the ship is sinking. Clients are leaving and the reputation that was once stellar has gone to poor and "steer clear."

    Advice to Management

Cash in and get this over with, get the roadshows going so the pain ends for all.

    Pros

Ability to travel and meet other people

    Cons

Disorganized upper management. Low employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Work with one another across teams. Listen to the employees. Stop taking away benefits and then try to make it seem like it is in the best interest of the employees. There have been minimal raises in the last 6 years. Combine that with more out of pocket expenses for less benefits and employees are making less than they did years before.
