    The mission is amazing

Assisted Living Coordinator (Former Employee) Bellevue, WA

ProsI loved my three years at Sunrise. They are not all the same. The Washington Sate experience was amazing. I worked with an excellent team and had amazing leadership. My residents were loving and the families were great. Each team was unique but all equally wonderful and the coordinators were awesome. My Executive Director cared a great deal and was an awesome mentor. I could not ask for more.

ConsEvery Sunrise is different. When I moved to KS I was hoping to stay with Sunrise. I quickly found out that they were not run the same as those in Seattle and it was no longer a fit for me. Sunrise as a whole has a wonderful mission and I am hopeful that all will be as good as those in the PNW someday.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't over-stress the care team. When we raised their wages, and ensured a work life balance, our residents, families, leadership and front line teams thrived and went from "norming" to "performing" in no time.

    Greener grass

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSunrise has a family feel to it. Many of the places I have worked at try to gain that feel but don't. Residents are number one and finding ways to contribute to their well being is first and foremost.

ConsIt is a business and needs to make money.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore management being hands on would let staff know you understand the daily chores!

Working for Sunrise Senior Living was a life changing experience.

Lead Concierge (Former Employee) Tucson, AZ

ProsFun atmosphere, friendly people to work with. Love the residents

ConsThere isn't one in Fort Collins

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't make employees wait until a YEAR for a raise. I think more care managers would stay and turn over would be less if people could get promoted or even a small raise after ninety days or six months. 3% each year only ONCE a year is not enough for inflation and cost of living increases that happen each year.
