    Resume builder

ATT UVerse Sales Consultant (Current Employee) Rochester, NY

ProsFriendly environment, making friends is easy, you can make a ton of money if you apply yourself. They sent me overseas! That was cool.

Conshard to move up, lots of broken promises, you're a number to them.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop being sketchy!!! Management sweeps a lot of stuff under the rug and that is NOT how it should be considering one of this company's core values is integrity.

    Gaint telemarketing company

TurboTax Representative (Former Employee) Syracuse, NY

ProsHours Varied from one day to the next. It was based on call volume. Some days there for 12 hours or more other days 2 hours.

ConsGaint rooms filled with phone banks. Could not hear the customer on the line. Very little training also management to employee ratio very high.

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease training and adjust enviroment

Definitely not a Company for growth, a pass through if you truly have Mortgage experience

Loan Processor (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsSutherland seems to be a Growing Company with some stellar Management. Location is great from anywhere in Houston. Almost anyone can get hired.

ConsThe benefits are outrageous $280 for single basic medical coverage monthly and $800 for a family? high stress. Inexperienced middle management. Expectations grow and salary stays the same..

Advice to Senior ManagementYou Need to have a better understanding of your own process and expectations. Also Management should work to fix the kinks in the system not just ignore them.

Sleep your way to the top and never look back

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) Rochester, NY

ProsThey will work around your schedule which is helpful when you have a busy life outside of work. The dress code is a joke, yoga pants are dress pants and spandex dresses are the norm.

ConsManagement is a joke. Most get their jobs because of their friends or they open their legs. They require weekends, yet management is never there. None of the equipment worked right and they wanted you to log into the computers 15 minutes before your shift because the computers were that slow.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't play favorites or promote your friends. Work weekends like the rest of the staff and actually work. Management typically goofed off and messed around which is not exactly motivating to the rest of the workers.

Nice people, low pay and high stress work

Tech Support/Sales (Current Employee) Wah Keeney Park, CO

ProsManagement overall are all nice people. They are pretty understanding to the fact that life happens and will work with you in emergencies as long as you stay on the same page with them. Training has its pros and cons, they have pto and benefits for full time employees, although i am unsure if the benefit package they offered is good since i didn't take advantage of it.

ConsNot always help available when you need it but they try, pay is not great, should have better commission pay, deal with a lot of upset customers making it sometimes stressful, holiday hours without extra pay,

Advice to Senior ManagementCompany honest about the job pay,etc when hired. Should have better commission pay and some sort of reimbursement for major holidays however.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    It was a learning experience

AT&T Bronze (Former Employee) Syracuse, NY

ProsI worked at Sutherland Global Services from October 2006 to April 2007. I had lost my job in July and been out of work and on fruitless interviews for three months when I saw the ad for Sutherland and applied and to my surprise was hired. I was hired for their AT&T Bronze program. The training was very rigorous. They brought in actual trainers from AT&T Corporate, and you needed to know what was being taught. The job paid just what I was making at my old job prior, the benefits were decent, and the hours were constant. Sure, you got yelled at by customers but that was part of the show. There were a lot of good people there.

ConsWe were told it was a customer service position when in fact it was a sales job. I struggled for a long time but when I finally started making sales, the commission rate was a joke. I knew I was never going to buy a Benz on the commission but this was sad!

Advice to Senior ManagementOutsourcing is here to stay, we know. Pay these poor souls a decent wage, maybe even what the "real" workers make or pretty darn close. Be truthful when you advertise for jobs.

Can make it what you want

Inbound Sales Agent (Former Employee) Rochester, NY

ProsGot lucky with a great group of people to work with- took initiative and was recognized for my hard work

Consno upper movement; basic call center

Advice to Senior Managementstop hiring anybody and everybody so that you dont have to treat your employees like they are just there to pick up the phone

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
