Swisscom is a fair place to work.

Sales (Former Employee)

I worked at Swisscom full-time for more than 7 years

ProsThe people in the US are outstanding. Everyone works together for the purpose of success. From the call center, the noc, account management, sales everyone does what they have to do to get the job done.

ConsDealing with our management components in Europe is a nightmare. They absolutely do not understand business in the US.

Advice to Senior ManagementRun US and Europe separately, running them the same just simply does not work.

Important Advize to SHS Management

Senior Technical Advisor (Current Employee)
Lisbon (Portugal)

I have been working at Swisscom full-time for more than 3 years

ProsAverage to good pay rates. Yearly bonus shared with employees.

ConsThere´s a separation between departments in Swisscom. Lack of communication inbetween departments. Headoffice does not know/ care abut the CUC. People are feeling disregarded and dismotivated and therefore sick and wreckless with the work. Salary do not have a rase according with the country´s economy inflation. It is happening quite the opposite.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo start caring about the basis. CUC and Lisbon workers. Let them know they do care and are valuable element to this company. Human resources is as important as technical on a companies well being and prosperity. Without the ground there´s no top floors nor anything.
Do mind peoples will to grow in the company. Give them technical training. Pay for it if needed so they can do better for the company and also go further on their careers.

Call Center Agent

Call Center Agent (Former Employee)
Lausanne (Switzerland)

I worked at Swisscom full-time for less than a year

ProsBig Company. The salary is good. A lot of possibilities to take courses or classes. It was easy and encouraged to share ideas.

ConsThey are very strict with their values. I had a lot of team meetings for a Call Center Agent. Too many meetings can be contraproductive.
