    Pros

This company has a family like environment. The company is small so it is really easy to get close to your coworkers. There is also a lot of trust in the employees as far as making decisions.

    Cons

The pay is not very competitive with larger banks.

    Pros

Diversity, good benefits including good insurance, wealth management and stock plan, wide variety of positions with constantly changing technology! Good community banks and employees give back to the community.

    Cons

Vendor driven technology instead of customer driven, not enough priorities in customer service, only certain areas have room for growth and inconsistancies in management policies.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate good employees and recognize their potential. Give them the ability to grow and move into new advanced positions instead of bypassing them and hiring outside first. Also you need to refocus on Customer Service! Without them there are no jobs...

    Pros

If you like being trapped in a position at 40 k with good benefits, and not a whole lot else going on, then Im sure you'll do great. Contentment, sure. Success, maybe.

    Cons

They acted like the recession was the employee's fault and took it out on them in a big way. The whole "Fortune 100 best places to work for" thing is because they shove the surveys down your throat repeatedly. They're into titling and awards more than they are paying people. Can't blame 'em.

    Advice to Management

    Quit worrying about window dressing.

I have been working at Synovus

    Pros

The staff in the office were all generally friendly, management listened to problems, and the company seemed dedicated to its employees.

    Cons

Difficult to get feedback or to expand opportunities to learn new or improve upon old skills. Training methods were vague at best and it could be difficult to gain access to the necessary programs needed to succeed at the position.
