    Pros

Good learning scope as you can find lots of opportunities and responsibilities in an early stage. H1 visa opportunity is the best you can get in Syntel.

    Cons

Starting salary is good but hikes and financial growth is a myth. Management is semi barbaric and the policies are not employee friendly.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees happy and introduce some beneficial policies. Do not keep the joining on hold for 18 months(as happened in my case) because it spoils almost 2 precious years from someones career. Employee rating should be more transparent. There is no employee retention policy and skilled engineers do resign in a large scale which is not good for company.

    Pros

there is flexibility . my manager happens to be good and intelligent person and so far my esperience is good. i dont know about the atmosphere in india is, but i have learnt that it is not good. onsite is good

    Cons

policies are very indianized. syntel takes a lot of time to actually meet customer demands. this is because it does not want to put anyone on bench. anyone who is on bench can be fired. this is not good. the employee may not be on bench because of his/her mistakes. please give an employee appropriate chances to proof his/her worth.

    Advice to Management

be aggressive with the resourcing and try to manage client demands better otherwise there is no dearth of competetors in the market. syntel takes a lot of time to actually meet customer demands. this is because it does not want to put anyone on bench. anyone who is on bench can be fired. this is not good. the employee may not be on bench because of his/her mistakes. please give an employee appropriate chances to proof his/her worth.

    Cons

    1. Less hike 2. Hike depends on manager review. if you have good relationship with manager then you get good hike 3. Lots of prospect but most of the ventures don't get materialized 4. Managers encourages competition not cooperation 5. If you ar unlucky then you may get a bench period that never ends

    Advice to Management

Management should filter out people who works and who talks Should encourage more to innovation rather than following other organizations Management can relax about the fixed work hours so employees can put their maximum effort in minimum time span and have a work life balance Please put some employees with technical knowledge in manager and Architect position
