I worked at Systemax full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Friendly employees (IT Department).

    Cons

Old laptop computers in the IT Department. Working 10-12 hours a day, including weekends (IT Department). The "management" may care, but the higher-ups don't; those that affect your salary and benefits. Most positions have already been outsourced, so I doubt this review will ever be read, but if you do consider a position here, keep in mind you may soon be training your future $10k/year replacement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upgrade the IT Department's PC's -- Visual Studio 2013 is recourse-intensive (SSD a MUST). Try to minimize the 10-12 hour days, with working weekends. It's been proven time and time again that happy employees are productive employees! And hiring 10 outsourced employees at the last phase of a project has shown to be disastrous!

I worked at Systemax full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The employees establish a family culture amongst themselves. Management should look at the benefits of this and try to expand the idea

    Cons

Benefits could be way better - too expensive for hourly workers - keep getting less and less

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at each division and run the company like a big corporation, not a bunch of little ones with an imaginary set of corporate rules

2 My lead was quite co-operative.
3 Since the staff strength is low there is ample of oppurtunity to grow.
    4 Salary is decent.

    Cons

1 No standard policy for employees.
2 Some employee get undue adavantage because they are more equal then others since they know or are related to people in higher post.
3 Management is not concerned about employee welfare.
4 Managers dictates break time even when there is no work and the same manager will convinently ignore others mistakes.
