    Good pay and excellent benefits

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsEmployees are well compensated and sales targets are reasonable. T-Mobile offers fantastic benefits! Time off is encouraged and clearly shown by the ample amount of vacation time given. The working environment is fun and encourages people to be individuals. While many company's have a list of "values", T-Mobile truly lives and breathes by them.

ConsCan be difficult to move up, work/life balance can be challenging, hitting monthly goals is very stressful

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Good benefits, but will work you to the bone

    Analyst II (Current Employee)
    Charleston, SC

ProsThe time off is good, discounted phone plans are a nice perk, and the people I work with are great. Good work is recognized in bonuses. They recognize the top contributors in the company, and it's overall a fun place to work.

ConsThey will work you hard. It can be hard to move up in a non-sales or non-call center role if you're not in Seattle. Good work will give you bonuses, but not necessarily advancement. An attitude of "We don't do that because we've always done it this way" can get in the way of innovation and creativity sometimes.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet go of the bureaucracy. There's too much red tape to do anything.

ProsYou get to play with all the new phones and get hookups for accessories. Not a bad place to learn all your initial skills for other jobs in the future. Don't stay here too long.

ConsDealing with customers that aren't familiar with technology

Great job- not a career. Lots of pros. Few cons.

    Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee)
    Miami, FL

ProsThe pay is ridiculously good for the little work you do.
Base + commission and great benefits( paid vacation, employee phone plan, 401k, stock options, etc)

ConsManagement works like a high school/ college fraternity. If you're not with the "in crowd" you will be nothing but a sales person. Promotions are based on friendship not merit. Very disappointing to hard working individuals.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement is the only thing killing the company, top to bottom. The only thing keeping tmobile afloat is John legere and his few hard -and-smart working frontline employees.

ProsPerks and benefits are pretty good.

Company does take care of the employees.

ConsMaking your way up is very difficult.

A lot of politics and bureaucracy built in.

A very good company overall, with some minor issues.

    Tech Support Representative (Former Employee)

ProsVery good benefits, generally good people in management positions, plenty of opportunity to grow with the company, at least in the call center environment.

ConsJust about everything is in the right place, the only major exception is a heavy reliance on metrics that are often times at cross purposes.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to use evaluation techniques that are a little more human, or at least come up with evaluation categories that aren't at sometimes cross purposes.

Great part time gig for college student

    Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee)
    Austin, TX

ProsHonestly the pay structure is pretty good. By working part-time and hustling you can make a good $30.00+/hour with commission. The environment overall is pretty chilled and somewhat competent leaders. Good with your school schedules and such. The uncannier movement has somewhat really been successful.

    ConsHigh-pressured environment
Force fitting customers what they don't really need: example higher data plans and tablets.
    Low hourly pay.
Advancements are a joke and even if you advance the raise is not enough to really want to make that change.

Wonderful and fun company with a lot of room from growth, movement

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Bellevue, WA

ProsBenefits and pay are good, company is large enough to offer growth opportunities. The changes in the telecommunications industry are fast and furious and being at T-Mobile one feels a part of this excitement. Great, convenient location with free parking, young co-workers, nice facility.

ConsWork-life balance is not always observed at higher levels.
