I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Work with my school schedule, management is active in the store,

    Cons

Sales associates are not professional, illegal drugs are talked about openly and occasionally arrangements to purchase them are made in the store. Operation's associates are not given the opportunity to move up with the company, and are excluded from most store contests and events.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Montier your employees more, and start to drug test. Don't hire people on with the promise of a promotion, when it has never and will never happen.

I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

So the pros are you truly control your money. Where I worked there was one guy making almost 6 figures and then there was some people just making in the 20's. You don't need to work full time either if you do your probably making less than the part timers because its all in how you sell and how much. The company still care about its employee's which is really great the benefits are amazing. It is a big company and if you make the right connections you could advance and make a ton more money.

    Cons

The cons are that the commission incentives always get cut, you always make less percentage wise than before so you have to sell more. T-mobile truly controls your paychecks, the company is always asking for more, and advertising against itself so it gets in the way of moral. Promotions are hard if you don't play the political game it is a corporation. Friends usually get promoted rather than competent people. LOCATION and MANAGEMENT is probably the most important piece to working at T-Mobile they affect your paycheck the most!! Always consider your manager because they could get in the way of your money, because your going to have stupid ridiculous metrics that mean nothing like a percentage of how many emails you collect. Who care it doesn't pay you or your manager!!! so if you do not get a money motivated manager get out of there ask to transfer or ask to interview at a few locations. Always ask the manager about your pay structure and whats important to him or her, because their are those managers who care about collecting the emails and not getting paid!! (ridiculous)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management focus on growth and money motivate your employees, don't be afraid to walk the gray area because that's where your paycheck will come from. Also build a good store culture so that everyone enjoys coming to work not so that they are scared to sell and loose their jobs. Make sure to have your employee's back they will respect you more.

I have been working at T-Mobile

    Pros

Offers one of the Best networks and most Cost effective Mobile connectivity in the USA, Above Average Salary with opportunity to make a lot of commission, with No Cap. Excellent Employee benefits for Medical, dental and Vacation Time

    Cons

Outside of the HQ in Bellvue WA, there are really only sales jobs available for carrier growth. In a vitual world working for a mobility company, you would think there were other carrier opportunities outside of the HQ Market.

    Pros

The benefits are great. Yes you get a discount on phone plans, but also medical/dental/life/short& long-term disability. Perks and rewards with many retailers. T-Mobile has changed wireless the industry by being the first to actually listen to customers and give them what they want.

    Cons

It is a complicated SALES position. Expectations are extremely high.
