I have been working at T-Mobile full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Work Life Balance, Flexible Scheduling, great opportunity to make a good commissions check. Now they have a more relaxed dress code that includes jeans an T-Shirt.

    Cons

Working here means you have little to no weekends. Holiday hours can be a pain. Sometimes management doesn't have a clue on what is going on. District managers are the worst, do not care about the associates at all only want them to produce numbers or get out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out what your employees need from you to succeed, don't just push customers out of the store who have issues.

    Pros

Fun, exciting company that strived for the best solutions to customer tastes.

    Cons

It would be a breath of fresh air to strive for value back into the company, in terms of employee value and vision.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Good sales experience!

I have been working at T-Mobile part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The prices are good so the products are easy to sell. The pay is very decent for working 30-35 hrs/week. Constant opportunities to learn and management is very supportive. Comfortable work environment, especially if you are under good management that are personable.

    Cons

Working on weekends. Hard to plan around schedules. Network problems makes it hard to sell T-Mobile in some areas. Company advertises low prices but want you to sell higher plans.

    I worked at T-Mobile full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Teams at T-Mobile become family. I had the opportunity to grow my career over 11 years in many different positions. Every time I sought a change to grow my skills, TMO was able to come through. Over the course of so many years I saw many leadership changes, and organizations always go through their ups and downs. TMO can provide opportunity, it is up to the employee to seek it out.

    Cons

Highly dynamic and fast-paced. Driven by deadlines. Great benefits, but you work hard. You also play hard.

    Pros

Great compensation and very energetic environment. Lots of events going on and a fun company culture overall. Very easy to sell their service because it's so affordable.

    Cons

Commission is always changing; hours are typical retail hours, lack of sense of job security.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that your employees are working a retail job, and try to find more ways to motivate us!

    I worked at T-Mobile full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits and unified company goals across the organization. Departments worked well together while engaged in building cell site projects, rolling out promotions and helping each other across the organization.

    Cons

I don't see many cons to working here... The only small negatives I experienced was the company ending/removing small employee discounts such as free phones and the way the employee phone plans work. Don't let that keep you from working for a great company.

    Pros

Incentives, people, constant drive to succeed, competitive workplace, excellent people to work with.

    Cons

Too high targets on certain aspects, long work schedule, longer phase in period, strict rules on late or absences.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some lighter limitations for personal absence or tardiness could be rewarded over time worked within the company.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great sales, customer service, and management experience. There is a lot to learn about the industry and can be used elsewhere.

    Cons

Most of the sales trainings are done by the book and don't seem very personal. It's nearly impossible to recreate the same type of sales conversation in a training meeting than in real life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus less on the numbers and more on the customer experience. Who care what the numbers look like at the end of the day if our customers hate us?
