    ProsGood share plan, excellent work life balance and endless career opportunities. This is a company who rides on the cutting edge; if you don't enjoy change TELUS is not for you! Excellent contributor to the community!

    ConsSalary compensation works on a bell curve. High performers are well rewarded, however team members who fully contribute can get left behind.

    Advice to Senior ManagementCompensation policy needs to be reviewed. Too many good team members have not received comp in many years. Continuing to reward only the top 20% will harm the company in the long term.

    ProsGreat people...loved my manager and coworkers. Telus chooses great people. Good training, decent pay.

    ConsSlow to fix technical problems, nonsensical policies for customers that make them furious, shifts are nearly impossible to work when you have children which is why I no longer work there.

    Advice to Senior ManagementProvide better options for women with small children. My daycare is open only until 6 pm. Hubby works a late shift.

    ProsLots of opportunities to advance, and expand. You have unlimited options for what you want to do. Just because you start in one department or position doesn't mean you are tied down there. If you start out customer service, and it doesn't work for you there are options and different areas you can go to.

    ConsThe hours sometimes are not compatible with a family, and they are not flexible for what you work and when.

    Advice to Senior ManagementTo attract a more mature level of employee in say residential care it would be a good idea to be somewhat flexible in the hirings. Do a specific hiring for a day position versus nights. Give employees a bit of a choice.
