    Pros

I met some good people here.

    Cons

There is no room for professional growth and there is rampant nepotism at the management and supervisor levels.

I have been working at TELUS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company itself is in a great location. There are many amenities to provide a fun, active, environment with areas to also to relax. The are restaurants that some onsite to sell food inside and food trucks outside. A lot of money has been spent to make the space aesthetically pleasing.

    Cons

low pay and minimum paid time off, horrible benefits, being a minute late two times could cost you your job, no chance for advancement, overly strict call center environment where every minute is timed, low pay, jobs can end with little notice due to outsourcing,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The people hired are responsible adults that passed the interview process, have adequate education, and work hard. Even call centers should treat people as adults that can make decisions and manage their time.

Good benefits, some good people stuck in a terrible organization.

Lower level management only wants to advanced their own career. They had no concern for customers and their direct reports. They are absolutely clueless.

I have been working at TELUS full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Work from home options.
    Benefits.
Pension matching up to $2500/year (varies by position)
    Stock matching
    Cell plan discounts.
    Great supportive colleagues.

    Cons

Pay is slightly below average but work from home and flexibility makes up for it...for the most part.

Some leaders promote who they like, not who is qualified especially in call centre environments.

Strict travel policies, I never met one of my managers face to face in the two years I worked for him.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote qualified people. A degree does not equate to qualification. You'd rather promote a university graduate verses a qualified employee with over ten years of service to the organization but lacks a degree? Ask yourself what the better investment is in terms of loyalty and internal engagement.

I have been working at TELUS

    Pros

Benefits are good, peers are good.

    Cons

Pay is not competitive unless you are in sales. Overtime is scrutinized. Advancement is tough and unless you are tied in with upper mgmt. it can be a very difficult climb. The Salary for a manager is also not comparative to the amount of hours worked. Well under paid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider engaging employees more and get rid of the Bell curve for rating employees.
