I worked at THINK Together part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a friendly work environment, and it's a perfect workplace to hone your leadership and communications skills.

    Cons

Sometimes the children were stubborn and gave me a hard time in terms of teaching them because they didn't want to listen to me.

    Advice to Management

I recommend to first establish classroom objectives and to listen to the student's needs.

    Pros

You gain experience if you really are thinking about becoming a teacher. Also most of your co workers are pretty young and outgoing.

    Cons

Parents. Some parents can be very protective about their children and won't be fair.

Some of the best things working here is that you have an interaction with kids and you get to be apart and contribute to their journey through education.

    Cons

Some of the cons of working here is that you don't get to spend alot of time helping the children.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at THINK Together part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Since THINK Together is a non-profit organization, most employees are there because they are passionate about education. The work environment (in the regional office) was comfortable and not too rushed or competitive.

    Cons

Again, since THINK Together is a non-profit organization, the pay may not be substantial to live in Orange County or surrounding cities. There is also very limited room for advancement within the regional office, although there is evidence of advancement for field placements (program leaders)

    Pros

Great co workers, very flexible, understanding of personal situations, lots of time off.

    Cons

Low hours, Low Pay, No Respect, Mission and execution is silly and valueless.

    Advice to Management

Try actually make part time jobs. 25-30 hours minimum.
