    Great people. Lifestyle company.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI love working at TIBCO because I get to work with fun-loving, good people. It's also a healthy and casual work environment with flexible work hours and work location.

ConsBecause of the flexibility, there isn't much of a sense of urgency or clear immediate direction within the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide employees a sense of "closeness" with the overall mission and direction of the company.

    It was a nice experience

Software Engineer (Former Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsGood work culture and really talented people work here.
Its good to work in a really dynamic enviornment with really smart people here.

ConsPay is comparatively less here. I was expecting to have good raise in salary. But I ended up getting less. So salary is the one thing one should consider before making Tibco as a long term career choice.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to the employees.

Good place to learn and grow.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsLots of room to grow if you work hard and position yourself correctly in the organization. Traditionally the field organization has solved very complex problems. There is a history of outcompeting larger companies such as IBM and Oracle through hard work and intense customer focus.

ConsIncreasing bureaucracy. Political atmosphere. Lack of mentorship or clear career path. For field organization work/life balance is nonexistent.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on clients. TIBCO is fundamentally a software company. The focus should be on making software work for our clients. TIBCO is at its best when client driven.

find a group where you can play by your strength and TIBCO has many such groups.

Senior Architect (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

    Prossmall group
    like the technology
    good pay

ConsI didn't pay attention to cons. so I can't mention any. As I said, find a group where you can play by your strength and TIBCO has many such groups. If you end up in the wrong place you can find many cons :-)

TIBCO offers employees a chance to grow and be challenged

Account Development Executive (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

Proslots of opportunity, many engaged and intelligent people, solid products

Conssales disorganization, lack of integration and cooperation amongst business units, internal promotion and raises are small and difficult to get once in the door

Advice to Senior ManagementLevel set your existing employees (who have been with TIBCO over a year) to market rates - there are many people at TIBCO who are grossly underpaid related to their positions within the market, and are thus a flight risk. The integration of acquisitions should also be handled better, around employee integration primarily.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
