    -- reasonable work expectations, focus on results -- not politics, culture which fosters working together -- helping others, nice employees, pleasant physical work environment, flexibility to work from home given personal needs

    Cons

    need to work during the day plus usually two evenings per week due to need to collaborate with off-site employees, little hands-on training provided on daily-used internal applications

    Pros

    Sharing culture, competitive, team oriented, benefits.

    It's a large, publicly traded company that feels like a smaller almost start up in nature given people's willingness the share and assist helping each other and customers.

    Brilliant developers create amazing software that makes a difference in the world. And everyone is either making software or selling software to customers in need.

    Internal social network, tibbr, is great tool to find resources, share ideas, and get work done.

    Cons

    Big company logistics sometimes slows things down.

    -Flex Time PTO policy

    -Benefits package is impressive

    -Teamwork across teams is slow and requires going through a ton of hoops
    -Typical big company mentality, which can be a turn off at times.

    Stability, Enterprise-grade, decent support, tons of products, lots of experience in their staff.

    Cons

    Enterprise, all Java, corporate structure, some products are impossible to understand, resistant to change to new tools.

    Pros

    I love working at TIBCO because I get to work with fun-loving, good people. It's also a healthy and casual work environment with flexible work hours and work location.

    Cons

    Because of the flexibility, there isn't much of a sense of urgency or clear immediate direction within the company.

    Provide employees a sense of "closeness" with the overall mission and direction of the company.

    Pros

    Lots of room to grow if you work hard and position yourself correctly in the organization. Traditionally the field organization has solved very complex problems. There is a history of outcompeting larger companies such as IBM and Oracle through hard work and intense customer focus.

    Cons

    Increasing bureaucracy. Political atmosphere. Lack of mentorship or clear career path. For field organization work/life balance is nonexistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on clients. TIBCO is fundamentally a software company. The focus should be on making software work for our clients. TIBCO is at its best when client driven.
