I have been working at TJX Companies full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Having come from the retail background, I find the DC atmosphere refreshing. Work a 4 day week, and if overtime is necessary, you are compensated for your time. I have been working for about 7 months and love it so far. There's a lot to learn, but the on boarding experience was positive and comprehensive. Benefits are good, nothing to complain about!

    Cons

The DC works as a union environment, so some of the situations with associates can be challenging. Keep in mind, there is stress at any job, but nothing that is unmanageable. Otherwise, I have no complaints and generally enjoy my job!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

So far, management has been very helpful and seem to function with an open door policy. I feel that I can voice any concerns, and they will listen. I feel that management really appreciates the effort of the associates and the supervisors, and reward them accordingly. I couldn't ask for a more welcoming environment.

I worked at TJX Companies as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Super friendly and helpful people. Its sometimes called the collaborative buying office for good reason. The work-life balance is amazing, there are summer social events, birthday celebrations at the end of each month, free goodies to take home, but most of all--the people are the nicest people you will meet. and very diverse too. i met people from all across the country. I LOVEEEEE TJX Companies. And as an intern, i got to video conference with the CEO. It is an incredible opportunity to have. The company culture is second to none.

    Cons

I can't really say there are any cons. Its in the nice part of downtown LA. Depending on where you live, i guess traffic might be a problem. i have nothing but great things to say about the company.

I have been working at TJX Companies part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and good start up for HS students

    Cons

Some managers lack basic people and management skills to the point where they are rude and ignorant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your managers, try to keep your good employees with a decent raise and somebody needs to look at Richard and his "female only"hiring practices.
