    Pros

As a buying intern at TJX, you have the rare opportunity to shadow top buyers in the market and in the office. Full access to vendor relations, decision making, and business analysis is given to interns. Interns spend most of their time shadowing and gradually learn the skills required to perform tasks on their own. Compensation is above market standard for the retail industry.

    Cons

Interns are placed in different departments, which can result in different experiences, some more positive than others. Hourly pay terms are difficult when shadowing salaried buyers.

Former Employee - Summer Intern in Framingham, MA

    Pros

While TJX's Merchandise Training Program is well-known, the company also provides great internship experiences in other functions of the company (IT, Marketing, eCommerce, etc.).

I had a fantastic experience during the summer after my junior year; my department was filled with passionate people who were very welcoming and always willing to help out. Everyone is energetic, well-dressed, professional, and friendly. I learned a lot about marketing and it is a particularly useful experience for people interested in the retail industry. I would certainly return to this company given the opportunity.

    Cons

Honestly, there are not many cons to report back on. Just that the internship ended and now I have to go through the application process again to try to get back in the company!
