Former Employee – worked at Tally Solutions

Pros – Satisfactory starting salary.
Very friendly environment where you can easily mix.

Cons – Most of the people in the company have worked for Tally only, so very limited exposure to the way other companies work and manage. Top management overrates their policies, work and culture(mainly because of lack of exposure) to thousand percent or even above. Poor management and Serious lack of innovation. Brainers - find a better job.

Advice to Senior Management – Top management is treated next to God by employees, at least publicly. Management feels pleased to share their own good-will stories all the time. What is more important is to give good-will experience to their employees. There is hardly any IT company(as established as Tally) whose work, culture and management is not at least as good as Tally, so there is nothing special to boast about. Knowledge expansion, exposure to a world beyond Tally is very much required among employees( I am excluding top management because they feel that they know everything). The worst thing is that Tally people always talk bad about their competitors( who actually are much ahead). Tally product is very good but when you overrate it, you actually reduce the scope of expansion and improvement significantly. Management says to its employees that everything is so perfect about Tally. Now, from where would you get the urgency from the developers to expand and improve the product. You should say this while selling the product, not to your employees who develop. Tally can be a better place but only with better management. Finally, I wish this company a bright future and a thinking beyond just money-making.
