I worked at Tangoe full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Work life balance
    WFH options
    Good training materials
No appreciation from Manager for good work

    Cons

    Too much of politics
Need to lick boots of manager to survive
    Low salary
Worst HR people I have ever experienced, you will be greeted only when you join, then they start showing true colors.
    Horrible Management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve your upper management, which is leading to alarming attrition rate. Managers are not God.

I have been working at Tangoe full-time

    Pros

I have a great CSM who cares about the job, the clients, and her employees.

    Cons

I do the work of a CSA and a TL and get paid as an invoice processor. There's no way to get raises that keep up with inflation. New hires that I'm training are getting paid 30% more than I make per year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Meritocracy. If someone is doing an exceptional job, going above and beyond - they should be compensated accordingly. A piece of paper isn't going to feed my family.

I worked at Tangoe full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - Excellent flexibility : Since my team was headed by US manager the flexibility was very good. I used to take 5-6 times WFH in a month.
    - Very co-operative onsite team : The US team is very co-operative and they give you all the support need to get the work done. You can learn a lot by interacting with them
    - Not much pressure : There isn't too much pressure in terms of deadlines and so. Few products had very tight deadlines but most of the products have less pressure

    Cons

    - Management is awful: The Indian management is awful. They don't have a vision/goal in mind to take the company to next level. They have lot to learn from US counterparts if they have to compete in the market consistently. Many managers are partial towards certain group and lot of inter office politics
    - Pathetic hike: The hikes given are pathetic. It is really a shame that they consider your time at the company rather than performance to give out hikes. 3%, 4% hikes are really a shame!!
    - No technical improvement: Most products lack technical tools latest in the market and you will be lagging in terms of industry standard. When you come out of it you feel like the industry has raced past you!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider keeping the employees happy. Stop playing inter office politics and drive the organization based on the values Tangoe is built upon. You have a very niche domain and the competition is not so much. You can really kick in some good stuff if you keep the employee source happy.
HR team is just for the name sake and there's no employee based initiatives taken. They just come and go. Someone should tell them to look at other companies and take good steps in keeping employees engaged.

    Pros

    -Very flexible work culture
-No stress or over working hour issues
    -Good level of Lenience
    -Managers are friendly in nature

    Cons

-The top management in India has to improve a lot
-Never seen taking any healthy initiative to grow company/employee
-Few departments are really low paid compared to market pay standards

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should really come out of Symphony Teleca (Tangoe has acquired TEM division of this company ) world to genuinely follow the actual Tangoe's principal especially in terms of Salary.

I worked at Tangoe full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great experience for someone new to inside sales and/or for someone wanting to get into sales on the ground floor. Leadership is very focused....on closing a sale. As it relates to support, well, the right person at this job will just have to ignore the negative comments from the support team because the leadership team are very committed to success.

    Cons

MUST HAVE leather-like skin. This is a totally Go and/or NO-Go company. Must be of strong spirit and able to stand on your own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hmmmm, how about truly caring about employee development?

I have been working at Tangoe full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of great people here, the company is growing quickly and adding new clients.

    Cons

The training is almost non-existent, the compensation and benefits could be much better. Several people on my team have had to take second jobs to make ends meet in recent months. We've lost a lot of very good people because the pay is not always enough to justify the hours. A recent shift from hourly pay to salaried positions has left a lot of folks feeling pinched at the end of the month.

    Pros

Flexible schedule allowed me to set my hours so that I could complete my degree and work from home as needed. Casual dress

    Cons

Not the greatest benefits but a good place to start learning and building a skill set for the future. Leadership is a tad disorganized

I have been working at Tangoe full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Tangoe does make a sincere effort to find responsibilities which are a good fit for their employees.

    Cons

The difficulties I experienced with Tangoe were mostly related to personality conflicts. When I first started there, I had an excellent supervisor who made clear what my responsibilities were and constantly provided me with assignments which both challenged me and enabled me to learn more about the functions I was to be performing. However, when this supervisor was promoted to another department, his replacement lacked the experience and the ability to distribute the workload effectively, and left me feeling at a loss as to what my responsibilities then entailed and what parts of the job I was responsible for, and what parts of the job were supposed to be referred to management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The responsibilities of each employee need to be communicated more effectively, because I was unable to determine where my responsibilities left off and where management was supposed to take over. I felt responsible to the client for all of their needs, but was not able to provide for those needs due to the hierarchy in place on my team.
