    Great company to work for

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Saint Louis, MO

ProsGood pay, flexible hours, interesting work, good people

ConsUse some outdated tools. In process of updating from visual c++ and vb6 to .NET. Need a bit more training to make sure everyone is on the same level.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up what you're doing.

Not the best, not the worst

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsEmployees are friendly and nice to work with. If you are hard-working and skilled, you can advance. You can get a lot of great experience and learn valuable skills if you are driven. The benefit package is great and the office is in a good location. This is a great opportunity for students to start out with.

ConsSalaries are not very good compared to other companies in the area. The company is bureaucratic, and not very innovative. Raises are not easy to come by and they are not individualized. There is not a lot of incentive for employees to work their hardest, because you won't get rewarded or disciplined either way.

This is a great company to work at with a small company feel and a big company backing.

Test and Evaluation Engineer Part Time (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

ProsAmazingly flexible work hours and an environment that puts learning and education first.

ConsNot much room for growth as the size of the company is stagnant

Software part time. You debug with flex and actionscript for a year.

Software Engineer, Part Time (Current Employee)
    San Luis Obispo, CA

ProsNice people. Flexible hours. And only 10 min driving from the school.

ConsThe pay is cheap comparing to other company.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's only an internship nothing i can say.

Great people with an increasingly out of touch management.

    Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Saint Louis, MO

ProsFun projects, smart people, flexible work environment.

ConsThe old engineer-centric culture under FSG in the Midwest is being subverted into a Dilbertesque parody of itself. If you can keep HR and upper management off your back this can still be a great place to work.

Advice to Senior ManagementGood people make a good company. You are driving away talent and inspiring the rest of us to insipid performance due to generally treating your "greatest resource" as just that: another resource to be exploited.

Good company that cares about their employees

    Field Support Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsEmployees are great, dedicated, and willing to help each other. The company is well run. It is growing and there are opportunities in many different locations worldwide.

ConsDepending on the position and the contract that you support, the travel can be frequent. Some field support personnel will travel well over 50% of the time.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue doing what you are doing. Expand the customer base beyond the military.

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    San Luis Obispo, CA

    ProsFlexible schedules

    Interesting projects to work on

ConsHalf of the development side always has the lights off. It sometimes made me sleepier than I should have been.
